I recently built a three-node network with mellanox connectx-3 cards to serve as the cluster network and use another 1gbe card as the LAN and management network. I've tracked down the issue (I think) to an issue with the routes. Whenever i create a new CT or launch a new container (currently...
Hello everyone,

Hello! I have Proxmox VE running on my laptop (8.2.4). I have a standard Linux bridge with the configuration of this
auto vmbr0
iface vmbr0 inet dhcp
bridge-ports enx0222796c7c62

bridge-fd 0
which works great, except for when I restart the node, anything connected to...
PVE Version: 8.2.4
Hi,
I have setup 3 Proxmox PVE servers (all with identical hardware) running PVE 8.2.4
After setting them up (fresh installs, nothing else done other than check for updates) I created Linux VLAN on each server in the 192.168.*.* address space - these networks all came up...
I own my homelab proxmox server at home. I also have a purchased VPS with a public IP. Is it possible to hook up the vps IP to a container on proxmox to expose it to the internet? If so, can he explain how to do it and possibly how to protect against ddos etc? Thanks for all the help!
I’ve set up Thunderbolt networking on two 10th-gen Intel NUCs using Thunderbolt 3, but I’m only getting an average throughput of 35-40 Mbps in iperf3 tests. I’ve double-checked all the settings multiple times and tried two different Thunderbolt 4 cables. I've tried a few different Proxmox...
Hello there,
I just updated to a new Proxmox Version. But once it was done I noticed connection interrupts across all containers and proxmox services.
After I have done some research I found: "pveproxy[]: detected empty handle".
I already took the following steps (without success)

I have an issue with two Proxmox hosts which are misbehaving when establishing connections with pretty much anything. My own applications, apt, curl, ping, you name it.
Both on the host and within LXC containers, things keep attempting to connect via IPv6, even though no IPv6 service is...
I run Proxmox off a Hetzner dedi. Getting it installed was a pain but did it in the end. Have I configured networking properly?

iface vmbr0 inet static

Hi
I'm currently experiencing hardware issues. I am having to change things round to try and get things working; plug in a GPU etc
Is there any way to avoid the ID of passed pcie & bridged network device changing?
Each time I plug in I have to currently switch items to get things to work, and...
I've purchased a dedicated server from a data center as well as 4 reserved IP addresses.
I've been trying to make this work for 10 hours but for some reasons VM's I create on Proxmox can't connect to the Internet. I am trying to assign these IP addresses provided to me by the data center but...
I've got a debian 12 VM with a CIFS vers 3.0 mounted filesystem, but for some reason i keep getting "CIFS: VFS: sends on sock xxxxxxx stuck for 15 seconds", leading to error in file r/w in the VM and at the same time my web browser briefly loses connection to the proxmox management plane, as...
ok, i have jumped through the hoops to enable SR-IOV on our proxmox host, and have the resulting list of virtual functions listed when i do a ```lspci```. the issue i have now is, how does one assign a vLan tag to said virtual functions so that the vm is sitting on the proper network? i can't...
I've setup a simple zone with automatic DHCP, a vnet and 10.0.0.0/24 subnet with SNAT enabled.
On the host I have 2 bridges configured:
- vmbr0 with public IP 1.1.1.1
- vmbr1 with public IP 1.1.1.2
(Those aren't the real IP addresses, just substituted by me).
When creating the subnet and...
I have been attempting to get my networking to function correctly for the past few days.
My setup is a dedicated server through OVH. I have 1 main IP and 2 additional IP addresses with virtual MACs.
I have my main node within proxmox setup with the default eno1, eno2, and vmbr0.

Hello, been using proxmox for about a year now and I am trying to improve the security of my cluster. Treating all traffic as a problem until proven otherwise. the Block IPv4 link-local (1000000102) rule on my PFsense firewall keeps blocking traffic from my proxmox VMs coming out of the cluster...
Hello guys,
I am currently facing an Issue in our Proxmox Cluster as described in the Title.
It does not matter on which Node the VMs are on, or if they run Linux or Windows, it happens on every single one.
However LXCs in the same VLAN are not affected, since they dont use the VirtIO Adapter...
I have a server with 2 10G-baset Intel X710 LAN ports and is unable to maintain active connection with the switch. Link go up and down continuously.
With the concomitant transition to the enterprise repository and upgrade to version 8.2 the problem has worsened making the server unusable.
I...
I figured out my issue before this post could be approved to go public. Wasn't a Proxmox issue, but was a networking issue. Home switch had sticky ports, and each lxc/vm generates their own mac address. Suffice to say, issue is resolved.
Not sure if I can delete this thread. If not, maybe...
Hi, I'm hosting Proxmox at Hetzner, which gives me a Proxmox instance behind a public IP. I managed to get proxmox to have an internet connection with the following /etc/network/interfaces config. And vmbr1 and the #nat is my attempt to get it to work for VM's.
