Hello, I'd like to report that there's a missing package to install in the guide for installing Proxmox 7 on top of Debian 11.
Package pve-manager should be installed, otherwise there will not be crucial software like web gui and various daemons like pvedaemon, pveproxy, etc.
Can some developer...
Sorry to asking again, but is there any way for parallel cloning on a shared GlusterFS storage? It would be really helpful for me.
Couldn't be a way for parallel cloning to mount a GlusterFS storage on each node via fstab instead of PVE daemon?
I had the same problem (https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/cloning-a-running-vm-make-the-clone-corrupted.78771/) and after switching of features performance.write-behind and performance.flush-behind on GlusterFS node it is good, no more corrupted VMs.
I have switched off features performance.write-behind and performance.flush-behind on GlusterFS node as proposed here: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/file-corruption-on-qcow-vmdisks.61645/ and it looks good, no more corrupted VMs.
I clone VMs from both - templates (those which cannot be started) and VMs.
Cloning a stopped VM on the same GlusterFS works, but in the last week, 1 clone was corrupted.
Version of GlusterFS on Proxmox nodes (client) is 8.1. Version of GlusterFS on GlusterFS node (server) is 7.4 (CentOS 7)...
Yes, i do clone from one GlusterFS storage to the other.
Hopefully cloning on the same storage where the template will be enough until qemu-img is fixed.
Thank you.
Hi,
when I clone a running VM, the clone has corrupted files.
It happens even if I clone a certain snapshot of the running VM (not the current state).
The cloned VM is Linux. QEMU agent is enabled and running on the cloned VM. It uses qcow2 disk format with no cache. Disk controller is VirtIO...
Hello,
is there any way for parallel cloning of VMs on the same storage? Unfortunately, it seems that cloning a VM locks whole storage and it is impossible to clone another VM at the same time due to the lock.
I have Proxmox 6.2 nodes with shared storage (GlusterFS).
Thank you.
I have set up nginx proxy by the offical guide https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Web_Interface_Via_Nginx_Proxy and this is log from /var/log/nginx/access.log

Meanwhile I found another interesting logs

After adding the debug print warn "$code - $msg\n"; to /usr/share/perl5/PVE/APIServer/AnyEvent.pm, the script was interrupted and no errors appeared in the pveproxy log, just 200 - OK at the time when the script was interrupted.
This is interesting. There are 595 - no route to host errors.

Looks like the problem is back. I created a simple Python script using requests library to be able to print raw HTTP headers.
I have added debug print to file /usr/share/perl5/PVE/APIServer/AnyEvent.pm as you advised (string "************** HERE1 ***************\n") but it did not print to...
