Thanks! Duh! Why didn't I think of pbs? :) Now I have to go read https://pbs.proxmox.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Probably few people need raid0 with nvme. I just tried raid0 + nvme for fun on a machine that isn't used for anything "serious." The disk i/o was approximately twice as fast. I...
Hi Richard!
Thanks for your helpful comment about the partition layout on the hard drive. The specific issue here is about to disappear because I decided to change servers and the new server doesn't have the extra hard drive. However, I'd still be very interested to hear suggestions about how...
Hello!
I have a Hetzner auction server with three drives: 2 x 1 TB NVMe drives plus a 16 TB spinning rust hard drive.
I want to set up the two NVMe drives as RAID 0 and regularly backup or sync the 2 TB from the RAID 0 2 x 1 TB NVMe array to the 16 TB hard drive. The backup or sync doesn't...
Haha! Everything works just fine when I first select the disk. :)
I'm assuming the screenshot no longer is needed. :) If that assumption is wrong, let me know, and I will post it.
Thanks for your kind reply! Best wishes!
Hello!
I have a server on which I used to be able to see the smart values by clicking the "Show S.M.A.R.T values" button in the GUI. The button now is grey and doesn't work. However, `smartctl -a /dev/$DISK` works fine in the shell.
The server is updated frequently, and I believe it is...
Depending on which OS I am installing, the SoYouStart autoinstaller sometimes seems to bring up my servers with IPv6 unconfigured. So, if I want IPv6 on these servers, I have to add the configuration of IPv6 by hand. At present, Proxmox seems to be one of the OSes which the SoYouStart...
Hi ganon!
Which server configuration are you using? Which datacenter?
I am using SYS-LE-1 Server - Intel Xeon D-1521 - 32GB DDR4 ECC 2133MHz - 2x 2To HDD SATA Soft RAID in Montreal BHS datacenter. Proxmox VE 6 is supported via the autoinstaller and it seems to work fine for my configuration...
Maybe look carefully through the OS choices. In my SoYouStart panel the OS choices are in alphabetical order. One entry is "Proxmox VE 6" The version 5 entries begin with "VPS Proxmox. . . ." So the VE 6 entry is separated from the VE 5 entries. :) Good luck!
Again, nothing special, but maybe helpful for new folks, part 3 of the Proxmox at SoYouStart tutorial is up:

Hi @catbodi Thanks for flagging this important point about software RAID being unsupported by Proxmox!
If we check the Proxmox wiki at https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Software_RAID , it seems to say that "unsupported" means not tested by Proxmox. The wiki also says that software RAID is "still...
Greetings @guletz !
Thanks for your kind words! Thanks also for helpfully suggesting an additional method of configuring ssh. I believe your suggestion will be helpful to many people. :)
Nothing special, but perhaps worth posting here since it may be helpful to new Proxmox users:

FabienF posted a fix for the problem about which I posted. FabienF's fix is at https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/ovh-proxmox-6-no-web-gui-access.70644/ . Thanks!
(Edited to add credit to FabienF.)
The "touch /etc/cloud/cloud-init.disabled" fix also worked for me. I first met this problem in the context of a 6.2 update, so I posted in the 6.2 update thread. Thanks to FabienF for posting the fix.
Besides preventing the GUI from working, and changing /etc/hosts, the problem on my servers...
To clarify an ambiguity in my previous post, /etc/pve was populated after the dist-upgrade and prior to the reboot. The contents were gone after rebooting. Thanks!
Hello everyone! Last week the apt update && apt dist-upgrade to 6.2 worked fine on a SoYouStart server which previously had been installed with 6.x via the SoYouStart installer. Yesterday, installing and updating a second, identical server, both the SoYouStart install and the update && upgrade...
