i finally found the images lying on a different node in a 3-node proxmox cluster setup by:
root@pve-schmidhuber-110:~# pvesm list local-lvm
Volid Format Type Size VMID
local-lvm:vm-103-disk-0 raw images 53687091200 103
then, i created a fresh vm on that...
any ideas where that disk got lost? is it possible to browse local-lvm? maybe there might be the old disk? or is it possible to browse ceph pool to look for the moved disk?
can it really be that a disk disapears after moving from local to ceph?
task log of the Move Disk is gone
pveversion -v
qm rescan --vmid 103
the vm configuration did not change, so hard disk is still not found, same error remains ...

hi,
i tried to move a disk from a local storage to a ceph pool
I don't know if that succeeds or not (i expect it did not succeed). Starting that machine results in:
Could not open '/dev/pve/vm-103-disk-0': No such file or directory
This particular machine does no longer boot.
Where is...
ok thanks.
so installing proxmox-ve out of the box w/o reconfiguring to the no-subscription repro will lead to updates but only within the current minor versions, i.e. 6.1.x but will remain stable.
installing proxmox-ve and changing to no-subscriptin will upgrade to 6.3 and will lead to unstable?
thanks but this will go to unstable version, right? i'd like to stay with the stable version but it would be ok to update one node after the other.
hmm what about changing to unstable, update and going back to entersprise - would it work? will ceph break?
hi,
we're using the stable "enterprise" apt repro for a cluster running proxmox-ve-6.1 (w/o license)
now we'd like to upgrade but unfortunatly there's no budget to afford three proxmox licenses as we do not generate any money using that cluster. it's more an academic way to host some dev lxc...
hi there,
my proxmox cluster recently stopped working. after having a look into proxmox's webinterface its not 100% sure why vm's console view just endlessly (at least 10minutes) tries to connect to vm but ceph status cannot be reported so i assume ther's something wrong w/ the ceph setup that...
