I have changed to the newest version and using ubuntu server 16 as my NAS, mounts are fine now, but did not work with Rockstor. So there are some compatibility issues.
The reason I installed v6 is because now it was possible to add drives and shares from gui. ive already spent two days trying to troubleshoot. Will wait until someone else finds a solution, i gave it a try already and I give up !!!!!
Tom, i'm not sure, i'm running Rockstor, but it works flawlessly and fast with 5.2 and 5.4 versions. It's not just NFS, CIFS is also exhibiting the same issue. CIFS is able to pull up the disk size but is unable to read contents. No firewalls, both on same subnet, yes it could be compatibility...
Well, it looks like its not just me, multiple people here on the forum are reporting exactly the same issue. I have not found an answer as of what may be causing it.
I truly appreciate the work that has been done on proxmox as it remains one of the best hypervisors for homelabs. I mean homelabs and not production environment. Given the work that already has been invested it is very hard to verify every single feature before new version release, this is also...
Guys +1 NFS is not working on 6.04 clean install. Sadly, very needed in my case. >>> Problem resolved by adding dns record /etc/hosts on proxmox machine. Monitoring for stability.
The problem was multiple usb devices connected to the same controller. Once I disconnected other devices, it started to work. If you get this error, make sure you have one controller per VM.
Aaron: device is showing up in lsusb after VM is started. I have identified different usb controller and have plugged usb wifi in different port and attached it to the VM. Same results.
I'm on 5.2.1
Any other ideas?
Yes it works in bare metal windows machine. Ive tried everything I could find online including like 5 different drivers. Remember I have two usb wifi adapters and both exhibit the same issue, so I'm thinking its on proxmox side but I have no idea what it could be and how to fix it.
Hello everyone, I was wondering if you can point me to the right direction. Windows VM is detecting USB wifi however is unable to install driver and is returning error. I've tried this with two different USB Wifi adapters and two versions of windows ( 7,10 ). Both usb adapters and PnP in any...
Nothing in logs. The problem shows up as lagging. Slow to open things. Not very slow but much slower than 5.2 version. Also machines very slow when doing backups from proxmox.
First of all thank you so much for a great, great product! I have switched from Hyper-V to Proxmox about a year ago and have been using 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 proxmox versions. When 5.4 came out, I decided to upgrade and did clean install of the proxmox and noticed a couple of performance issues.
