when i updated to version 7 of proxmox the MAC address changed.
I updated my router with the new BIND IP TO MAC details and rebooted the NODE.
Problem solved.
same thing happened to me
If you updated to version 7 please check this on your router
check your BIND IP TO MAC is correct, the MAC may change when you do the update
for you a0 42 3f 41 bb b2 -> 192.168.0.88
Hi Guys,
I have one node of a 6 node setup which has a weird network issue.
The time server will not sync. The NTP pool list is the same as on the other nodes.
timedatectl status
Local time: Tue 2021-10-05 12:37:11 AEDT
Universal time: Tue 2021-10-05 01:37:11 UTC...
I believe I have found the cause for this and the solution.
during the upgrade to 7 it lists a possible problem, in that the MAC address might change for the Linux Bridge
(total Mumbo Jumbo to me)
However when I looked at the one node which did still work using "ip address" in the shell, I see...

Hi Guys,
any idea what might be causing this
I think it is related to my previous post.
I assume something is weird on my network settings
thanks

Hi Guys,
Proxmox 6 has worked fine for years.
Router is port forwarding the same a before
Updated to proxmox 7 from proxmox 6 (not fresh install)
I can access the GUI via the LAN i.e. https://192.168.0.xxx:8006
but not via the WAN https://www.xxx.com:80xx
which I could before.

Hi All,
I set autoscale to on on my ceph pool.
but nothing has changed.
should it not automatically (possibly over time) change from 128 to the optimal 256 value?
It has been a few days.
thanks
Damon
Morning Dominic,
yes - it isn't MySQL it is Maria DB
"debian-10-turnkey-mysql_16.0-1_amd64.tar.gz"
I have spent most of today creating my own "Container" for the installation.
Tomorrow I hope the only thing I have to fix is "lower_case_table_names" which means I have to start again but thats...
If I need to come back to this - here is the solution.
On the new node you need to add the network that ceph uses
I.e. 10.10.10.8
Even if you have got the timeout and it says completed just add the network and reboot the node
problem solved
alternatively, if the VM is fine and it is only the transfer from on node to another that causes a
CRITICAL STRUCTURE error
then run this as an ADMIN from CMD
wmic RecoverOS set AutoReboot = True
this tells windows 10 to reboot after a BSOD
Hi All,
this is partly for me in case I forget but also for other windows users.
Sometimes when you migrate a VM from one node to another it will give you a BSOD normally straight away but it might take a few minutes
When you get a BSOD on a windows VM you might have noticed the CPU goes to...
Hi to anyone finds this post and has something similar.
It has taken a month to work out and to be honest it might be a 1 in a million event
the VM in question might have once been Vista and then 7 and now 10.
All updates prior to this have been fine.
Run something like "Macrium Reflect" just...
