Hi mir,
I understand, that would explain problems when doing live migrates between pve nodes. But once you have actually "stopped" and "started" the VM, way does it continue happening?
Anyway, I've tried with both CPUs qemu64 and kvm64 and still happens... (in fact, I hardly ever use "host"...
Just to add extra info:
CPUs are not the same over nodes... Our cluster has:
pve1: 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2667 0 @ 2.90GHz
pve2: 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz
pve3: 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz
pve4: 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5670 @ 2.93GHz
pve5: 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R)...
Hi mir,
Thanks for your response! And any clue how to get over this?
I really think It has to be something related to the guest VM (running specifically Centos 5.X, my case is 5.6) because VMs with newer OS (Centos 6.X, Ubuntu 12/14, Debian 6/7) don't have that problem never.
I don't...
Hi,
Just to give more info.
So far, we have tried:
a) trying differente kernel boot parameters (noapic, etc.) --> no luck.
b) changed CPU from default (kvm64) to qemu64 --> no luck.
c) disabled ACPI on VM config in Proxmox GUI. --> So far seems to fix the issue.
Does anyone know the...
Hi,
After checking what "mir" stated about failover domains, I have done some searching and got to this link:
https://fedorahosted.org/cluster/wiki/FailoverDomains
It explains perfectly how failover domains work and you have different settings for different scenarios, personally I think It...
I'm going to have a look at that doc and then try the cluster.conf failover domain settings.
Thanks for the info mir!
I'll get back with my results :)
Best regards,
Joel.
Hi,
When the pve-manager package (where pvesh comes from) gets updated, will a server reboot be required?
I mean, do pve-manager updates come together with kernel updates and therefor require server reboot?
Best regards,
Joel.
Hi,
We have a 5 node cluster and we are planning to buy a 6th server as a spare server and enable HA.
How does PVE decide on which node to start the VMs when a working member fails? Is it depending on free resources? Or on number of VMs? I mean, whats the "formula"? :)
Also, If I want all...
Hi,
Did you get this solved?
I am facing the same problem:
a) backup VM from host1.
b) import VM to host2.
c) VM works perfectly on host1
d) VM fails to boot on host2 with error: Kernel panic - not syncing: IO-APIC + timer doesn't work! Try using the 'noapic' kernel parameter.
e) If I STOP...
Your problem could also be that you don't have the Comodo Cert as a trusted CA in your browser....
Check this link: https://support.comodo.com/?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=1
You can download the certs from there. Install as trusted CA, restart browser and console should work again...
Also, Java7 by default has the security setting set to "High".
If you lower it to "Medium" you'll be able to use the Java Console again with no problem!
Best regards,
Joel.
Hi everybody,
I'm having the LVM metadata space problem:
TASK ERROR: clone failed: lvcreate 'vzpve4/pve-vm-4000' error: VG vzpve4 metadata too large for circular buffer
We actually have 3 QNAP NAS connected (iSCSI + LVM) to our Proxmox VE 3.1 Cluster. All have "free space" for metadata...
Hi felipe,

Hi,
I've run into the same problem here. I'm migrating a 4 node cluster from v1.9 to a 5 node cluster all on v3.1.
As I'm "starting over" I thought of separating replication network from production network.
My first idea was to use the IP from the replication interface when issuing the...
Hi,
I have a 4 node cluster running PVE 1.9. All OK.
We have recently purchased our 5th node, but we are going to setup a new cluster running v3.1 for the enterprise repo access.
The process is:
1- Install v3.1 on new node.
2- Backup all VMs on node4 from v1.9 cluster.
3- Restore all those...
