Ok, if anyone else will have this problem, the problem was that apcuspd did try to read /dev/ttyS0, and /dev/ttyS0 was redirected to Remote Supervisor Adapter II from IBM and that caused the problem. After I disabled the serial port in bios, everything worked like a charm!

Ok, I think I might be on something, the problem is if I try to communicate with /dev/ttyS0, same thing happens if I do something like this: minicom -D /dev/ttyS0
