Hi,
has anyone managed to get this done?
I am trying to create a VM with 5TB from scratch, installation goes well but when the VM tries to boot up, i get a grub error.
I have not been able to find anything that really helps solving this.
Thanks
******UPDATE******
So i have encountered an issue.
The DHCP Function works well as long as the DHCP Server and the VM/CT are on the same Hardware Node (host).
I spent over 8 hours t-shooting this issue until i realized this.
If the DHCP Server is on Host A, and the VM Client is on Host B, then...
Hi,
The first image is something very simple. It means your resolvers are not configured. For this you need to edit the file /etc/resolv.conf and include:
nameserver 8.8.8.8 if you want to use google's DNS servers.
As for the connectivity from the VM's OUTBOUND, can you ping an IP address? Not...
HI All,
Lets say I have a Node with the following config:
1x120GB SSD (Proxmox OS)
3x3TB SAS (LVM 1-3)
The LVM's are already configured and Proxmox can see them.
When i create a new VM/CT, i can chose the Local-LVM which is the space available on the SSD, which i do not want, there is only...
*****UPDATE*****
The Network Configuration for the Hardware Node is not centos, I got confused because always working on Centos.
So, steps to configure private network in the Node:
1. Config file should look like this:

*****UPDATE*****
Ok, so I think i got this working the way i wanted.
I have been able to add the second NIC to the VM, using the second bridge of the server. You can see in the attachment, that after it was added, there is one NIC using vmbr0 and another NIC using vmbr1.
IMPORTANT: Please...
Hi All,
Im sorry, maybe this is clear and i just dont get it.
I am not sure if this is only for CT's or also for VM's.
I had a Centos 7 VM with a single NIC (vmbr01), then added via the Proxmox GUI the secondary NIC (vmbr1) and rebooted the VM.
The VM came back up only with its public NIC. NO...
Hi @All,
Im hoping someone out there has figured this one out.
The following is my scenario:
4x Proxmox Hypervisors. Running Proxmox 5.0
1x NAS
NOTES: Each server is connected to 2 switches: 1 public Switch, and 1 Private Switch.
Private traffic is statically routed over eth1, while public...
Right. Noticed that AFTER i reinstalled the 4 nodes.
Simply commented out the "enterprise" repo and now apt-update gives no error.
Thanks for the input.
Hi @All,
First of all Im sorry, I see this is a really old thread but its the only one that describes my issue exactly.
I have not been able to solve this.
I have followed the guide in this article. This is my scenario.
1. I created a LXC CT and a CentOS VM and they worked perfectly. I...
Hi @All,
I apologize for re-opening this thread however, I am having an issue here.
I have 4 servers in a cluster, at this moment i ONLY have a VM and a CT.
I ran the apt-get update and apt-dist upgrade command across the cluster and rebooted. No issues.
After reboot however, the VM comes...
Hi,
I am having the same issue here. This is my scenario:
I have 4 servers on a cluster, all on the same vlan so VM's can be replicated etc.
The VM's share a /26 of Public IP addresses, and i want to "lock down" each VM to a specific IP address in order to prevent spoofing and IP stealing, etc...
Hi @commgdog
That was a nice piece of information.
Are you perhaps on IRC? It looks like you have done pretty much what I am looking forward to doing.
I have a few questions, advise is the best.

Foster
