    Adding 2nd & 3rd IPs to LXC

We changed IPs as one was not working. Once we changed the IPs use it worked just by adding IPs to the NICS... Very strange

    2nd Public IP Address KVM

Hello We need to add a second and third public IP to a KVM Virtual Machine but we havent found a way to do this as we use OVH . When we setup the VM we had to do all the networking manually as OVH uses a gateway in a different subnet. We configured eth0 and can ping 8.8.8.8 but google.com...

    Update Broke NFS Mount HELP!!!!!

Thanks for your response. I mistakenly thought it was an issue on my end but it was an issue with the ACLs in the backup device in OVH datacenter.

    Proxmox Host LAN Interface

Hello, We need advice on a setup that includes a LAN interface between the Proxmox Host and one VM. We have a WHMCS Module that automatically provisions VMs and allows clients to access their VM's via a noVNC connection and this is why the public needs access to the proxmox host via the net as...

    ipfiltering

Well I ran a test but it appears that IPSET is not working. I setup as instructed and put a IP address that is NOT the IP of the VM but the VM could still access the internet. I did look at the config and there was a 0 beside the enable like you can see in the attached screenshot so I changed it...

    ipfiltering

Thank you for that clarification. Lastly thing For KVM ipfiltering then I would add the name ipfiltering-net0 ( or eth0 ) in the IPSET field under firewall and just for KVM VM's I need to add the VM's IP address beside the IPSET ipfiltering-net0 field for it to work??

    ipfiltering

Thank you for the guide. It is similar to the previous one. It is not clear on how we configure ipfiltering. Do we just create an IPSET named 'ipfiler-net0' and then add the VM ip address that used the net0 interface ? The guide does not explicitly state that it needs to be named a certain way...

    ipfiltering

Can someone please shed some light on ipfiltering. My understanding is that if we turn on ipfiltering in the firewall options we need to add the VM IP address so that traffic is only allowed to/from that ip. Is this correct? One thing we need clarification on is how is this setup? We read the...

    Cluster Gateway 2 Nodes

Thanks for the reply Manu. yes the second server will be in the same datacenter but I will ask if it can be in the same rack. Can you please shed some light on my question about the second gateway. I am trying to get my head around how routing works in a cluster environment as there technically...

    Cluster Gateway 2 Nodes

We have just about outgrown our dedicated server and need to purchase a larger one to accommodate our increasing VM growth. Rather than migrate from the old to the new server as this would require gateway changes which customers would not want to do - we have decided to add the second new server...

    Bond Interface Huge Improvement

This is just a quick recommendation to those who seek improved network performance. Previously we used to use just one interface and leave one spare as by default OVH did not set it up. Tonight we configured a bond and used the 802.3ad mode and we have seen massive performance improvements...

    Adding Bridge without rebooting

We ran ifdown && ifup and on both eth0 and vmbr0 and eth0 said the interface is not configured and same with vmbr0. After these commands all VMs lost connection and had to be rebooted. Now even after running the commands we still see the network configurations in the network tab saying we need...

    Adding Bridge without rebooting

Hello We did do exactly what you state above a few weeks ago except we did not use the ifdown and ifup so hopefully this will be the problem... I shall give it go go today and report back. Thank you

    Preventing Access to GUI

Thank you for you reply. We have many ways of blocking access to the GUI however, this issue is that we still need everyone to be able to access via the Proxmox API on port 8006 as we use a WHMCS module that requires this. Is there anyway to restrict the GUI and still allow all to access the...

    Adding Bridge without rebooting

We hope there is a solution to being able to modify the network without rebooting the entire server. We have read that you can directly modify the /etc/network/interfaces file and you dont have to reboot but this has not worked for us. We need to two things. One to be able to add a bridge...

    Preventing Access to GUI

Hello We need to find a way to prevent public from accessing the Proxmox GUI however we are prevented from doing so because of a modulesgarden auto provisioning module we use for WHMCS. Normally we would simply prevent access via IP using the firewall but considering the module need access via...
