    Certificate Startup Problems

We had the same issue. Adding Startcom's intermediate certificate to the end of /etc/pve/pve-root-ca.pem solved the issue for us.

add additional ips to a KVM machine

Are you using a Virtual MAC address supplied by your host? If so, add that same Virtual MAC to your additional IP's and then add them to the VM as IP aliases on the main network device.

cPanel on LXC - where do I perform required changes?

Did you also follow the steps on the /var/run/dovecot directory as outlined in post #6 above? That should correct the problems with Exim. If not, please restart Exim and post the output of "ls -l /var/run/dovecot | grep auth-client".

Proxmox 4.1 - Change default "Start at Boot" setting

I apologize if this has been asked and answered elsewhere. I want new VM's and containers to default to having "Start at Boot" set to "yes" instead of "no". Is there a way to do this?

    lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus not being respected

My mistake. I had rebooted from within the container. Rebooting the container from the host did produce the desired effect. Thanks!

    lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus not being respected

Placing that line in /etc/pve/lxc/103.conf has no effect on container 103. All of the host's CPU cores still show in the container.

cPanel on LXC - where do I perform required changes?

Further investigation has shown that I also needed to change the ACL on /var/run/dovecot as /var/run/dovecot/auth-client (which is used for Exim authentication) needed 666 permissions and had 644. Without doing that we couldn't relay mail from remote desktop email clients.

    lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus not being respected

Sir, a very wise former United States senator and diplomat once said (I'll paraphrase) that people are entitled to their own opinions but not to their own facts. We can agree to disagree on whether it "works", and perhaps we understand that word differently. If, as in this case, a tool "works"...

cPanel on LXC - where do I perform required changes?

This thread is a bit old, but here's how to get cPanel working in a linux container on Proxmox 4.1: First, only use a CentOS 6 container. Follow the instructions at https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/1152Docs/Linux+Containers+and+cPanel. I can get cPanel up and running with no problems...

    lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus not being respected

The command (and knob) is there for a reason as per https://linuxcontainers.org/lxc/manpages/man1/lxc-cgroup.1.html. If they don't work, that's not exactly "expected" behavior, it's a bug. Unless of course it's specifically disabled, in which case I'd call it a "feature".

    lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus not being respected

    I'msing Proxmox 4.1 with uname-r 4.2.6-1-pve. I have tried the following setting in /var/lib/lxc/103/config : lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus = 0,1 Unfortunately I see all of the host's CPU's in "top" and in "cat /proc/cpuinfo" If I run "lxc-cgroup -n 103 cpuset.cpus 0,1" on the host it has the...

    [SOLVED] Enable IPv6 OVH

Thanks for the response! Yes, Ive always been able to do that. Yes, it's an OVH thing. Haha Yup, I have three IPv4 addresses on one vMAC and all three work in that VM as expected. Actually, after a great deal of trial and error, I solved the problem of the host not connecting externally. It...

    [SOLVED] Enable IPv6 OVH

FWIW, I used the instructions at http://docs.ovh.ca/en/guides-network-ipv6.html#freebsd-10 to configure the VM. As I said, it seems to be correctly configured in the guest.

    [SOLVED] Enable IPv6 OVH

Thanks, tom. I've read that. Several times in fact. That article seems to deal with configuring a VM, not the HOST. It doesn't address the fact that the HOST is not able to ping an external IPv6 and is not ping6-able from outside. The problem doesn't appear to be with the VM configuration as the...

    [SOLVED] Enable IPv6 OVH

I'm evaluating Proxmox 4 currently on an OVH server. I've created one VM (FreeBSD 10.2) which is working fine with several IPv4 addresses assigned to one virtual mac and successfully added to the VM. I tried adding an IPv6 address to vtnet0. I can ping6 the host from the VM and I can ping6 the...
