Yes, it is running and when I mount it as suggested by Dietmar, it shows in df command. When we unmount it, it does not show up in df as expected.
Once mounted, I moved the required file from the container to the physical server and unmounted it again. I was enquiring is it better to keep it...
Thank you Dietmar for the reply. Is it possible that we can view the contents now as we have already created the container and started using it? I mean, can we now browse the contents from the physical server. I find only a vm-100-disk-1.raw file in the path /var/lib/vz/images/100/.
Hello Team,
Is it possible that we can browse the lxc containers like we used to browse in openvz? Path in openvz was /var/lib/vz/private/containerid/. Thank you.
Thank you, Udo. Yes, it is a CT, I forgot to mention it in previous post. For taking backup of the VM, I am using tar command. After entering into this path {/var/lib/vz/private/105}, I used the tar command as "tar -zcvf /var/lib/vz/template/cache/ubuntu-6.0-standard_6.0-2_i386.tar.gz . ". Will...
Hi Udo,
I had used vzrestore to restore the tar.gz file; I will try again today as I did this around 10 days ago. Would you suggest to use "vzdump" or "tar -cxvf" for backup of the VM in PVE 1.8?
With Regards,
Beginer

Thank you, Symmcom. Yes, I really mean backup files created through vzdump backup option in my previous server; and then I copied those backup files which were in .tar.gz format to new server's template location. I had restored 8 VMs individually using each of the 8 backup files, I had saved in...
Hello,
