Bad Network Performance for KVM Guests

If there is a Firewall/Router-VM between... maybe an integrated service (like IDS) slow down the connection? Depends on the throughput of the misc. services.... Capture the packets and take a look (take a look on firewall/router-logs too) --- EDIT: i have a dual-wan-router with 2gbit-ports...

    Help for Storage Model strategy

If money isn't the point, go and grab some external storage-device, that would be the easiest way. There are some really nice ones out there ( http://www.violin-memory.com/products/6000-flash-memory-array/ or http://www.ramsan.com/products/pcie-storage/ramsan-70 ) :D I would prefer: external...

    Proxmox Networking Problem

Default route to the Proxmox-Host? Shouldn't it be the default gateway definied by your Hoster? Else use virtual networks and some kind of Router/Firewall like the Astaro UTM (now Sophos)... it's free for personal use (with all commercial subscriptions) and "Essentials"-version is free for...

    Graph-Problem (Font i guess)

i've already installed "rrdtool" but that was no help, too. But the "fc-list" could do the trick... the output looks a little bit strange: ejné,Standard,Îανονικά,Normaali,Normál,Normale,Standaard,Normalny,ÐбÑÑнÑй,Normálne,Navadno,Arrunta Luxi...

    Graph-Problem (Font i guess)

Some other ppl here described errors with some graph and the solution was to clear the cache in this directory... i already done this a couple of times (every time i made a change), but nothing helps.

    iPhone App in progress !!

Re: iPhone & Android App in progress !! In fakt that there are coming more SmartphoneOSs i think a simple webgui would be the best. App for IOS, Android, FirefoxOS, Symbian(?), Ubuntu(!), and so one... not funny to write apps for all SmartphoneOSs. But... anyone has an open access to the...

Windows 2012 Essentials & Network (Virtio)

It's been a while, but i installed WS2012 on proxmox too for testing purposes without any problems. To avoid problems maybe you should use the e1000-driver first. But i had much problems with the 52er virtio-driver (HDD)... i was going back to the 30er (only older one i have).

Windows 2012 Essentials & Network (Virtio)

Does the WS2012 have LAN-Access? Tried ping / tracert? If the Firewall is activ and between router and WS2012 - are the rules okay? NAT on?

CPU performance of proxmox KVM guests

Uhm... what about "CPU Units"? Default is "1000" for each VM. This could be the reason for "much lower" cpu-power. You can check your CPU-"CPU-Units"-Power with "vzcpucheck". For me it say's: "Power of the node: 999990". Foe me - i spent every VM some "Units" and most (200.000) for the SBS -...

HowTo: Enable console login for OpenVZ Debian containers (V2.2 and later)

A "free" script, or a patch would be nice - i've only 14 CT's running, but "time" is such a special thing for selfemployed people ;)
