Weird performance problem with NTFS disk after expanding

I finally figured it out. It turned out to be a bad SATA cable. It was just random that it worked when I tested on the other volume. It was very intermitted, probably changes in the cable due to vibration or something like that. That was quiet the trouble shooting.

Weird performance problem with NTFS disk after expanding

I just had another idea and tried to mount the ntfs partition in linux and copy it that way. Doesn't change anything. It copied like 12MB in ten minutes. I also ran ntfsfix without any success.

Weird performance problem with NTFS disk after expanding

Ich habe bewusst Datacenter SSDs gewählt, weil ich bei meinem alten home server mit consumer SSDs das problem hatte, dass die nach ein paar Jahren schon Probleme machten. Die Performance ist mehr als ausreichend für meine Anwendung.

Weird performance problem with NTFS disk after expanding

Weird performance problem with NTFS disk after expanding

Here you can see the active time. It is copying the entire time. Most of the time not doing anything and sometimes there are bursts where it does copy and then the active time goes down when it does work.

Problem with SDN and management interface

I just noticed another problem with that solution. I added a new VNet through the GUI and that removed the IP address and gateway from the config file. If I know it it's not a big deal, but it's something to watch out for.

Problem with SDN and management interface

I tried it with the vmbr0.101 configuration now. That itself does work the same as with vlan101. I don't remember the reason I switched over to the vlan101 config, I thought the old way stopped working, but maybe there was another reason. I can also apply the SDN config now, but apparently that...

Problem with SDN and management interface

Hi everyone, I just updated to from 7.4 to 8.2 and wanted to look into the new SDN features. I have one vlan aware vmbr with one vlan interface on it that I am using for the management IP of the PVE host. It this vlan (101) are also other servers. My problem is, that SDN apparently doesn't like...

    DKIM fixed domain in signature

Hi, I am trying to configure DKIM signing for all domains on the gateway but with the same d= tag in the signature. So there is one DKIM Key and DNS record, say on domain-x.com. The gateways are also called mail01.domain-x.com and mail02.domain-x.com. Now I want PMG to DKIM sign all outbound...

    VIRTIO Balloon with FreeBSD (OPNsense)

Hi, I am running OPNsense in Proxmox and I would like to get the balloon driver working properly so I can get correct memory readings in Proxmox. Right now for example Proxmox reports 3.35GB/4GB while OPNsense itself reports only 740MB is used. I have searched a lot online and found some...
