well i feel a little better now i updated the bios earlier and the first few times it booted some of the boot options looked the same and i noticed on install it would read the drives sdc sdd sde there was no sda or sdb but this time i used proxmox 2.0 and things had seem to come up in the bios...

Is it really necessary? I didn't have this issue with other installs. plus i just wanted to use it for testing purposes untill it proves reliable.
