Hi, I am having a look at this product and I am in doubt:
- Do I need to install it on a separate server other than the mail server?
- Can it run under a Plesk server.
- Can I use it for different domains?
- What advantages do I get from the enterprise repos that I don't get from the...
But... as I have all my Windows system living on a iSCSI target... How the hell can I convert that to a qcow2 and back to iSCIS?. Perhaps this is a silly question, but I have no clue on how to do this. I am using a QNAP server...
Thanks for the response. I did read all documentation available I found. Neither of my questions regarding licensing and, specially, iSCSI is expained here. I mean, would it be enough to create a new VM on Proxmox and attach the iSCSI-mounted disks (once converted to qcow2 or raw)?. Do I need to...
Hi,
I have a VM wunning on top of XenCenter and I would like to migrate to Proxmox (USB passthrough on XenCenter sucks). Nevertheless, this is a critical machine and downtime must be kept small. I wanted to ask:
- Is this more or lress straightforward?.
- Have you got any experience with this...
Hi manu,
It is just nothing "per se", just my expression meaning that no output is written to the external device.
Hope this clarifies ;),

Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to share the same physical COM device with two virtual servers at the same time. This is just an INPUT COM key, so servers will not be writing on it.
At this point I am able to use it for a single server by adding this to the server config file...
Hi,
Thanks a lot for your response. Currently I have not direct access to the machine so it will take a wile to get the information. But I will probably have one or more VMs whose disk is configured as raw (just for performance). Do you recommend migrating it to qcow2?
Jose.
Hi,
I have a brand new proxmox server with just local storage. I have noticed that none of the VMs running on it have the Snapshot option enabled. The server has been restarted, we have checked times, etc... but no luck. Disks are qcow2. I have seen previous posts like this on the forum but...
Hi,
Recently I migrated a P2V W2000 server. We have now realized that the system clock on the new VM is moving tooooo fast. Perhaps 4-5 seconds in a real time second. In fact, if you open the date-time settings window, you can see the clock hands moving rapidly... Any hints on what is going...
Hi,
Just wanted to make sure that installation from Proxmox Isos will work out of the box for this RAID card. Also, as this card does not seem to sport BBU nor write back capabilities, I suspect performance will be terrible. Therefore, I would like to receive some feedback on which model should...
Hi,
I remember some time ago when performing a 2.0 installation that we had to recompile the drivers for this RAID controller (H310 from DELL). Is this step required any longer with proxmox 3.x?.
Bests,
Jose
I know it mo_ but it is for a testbed platform so I don't need to invest in extra hardware. Anyway, lets consider I don't need it to be bootable.. Any recommendations on vendor/models that are compatible with Proxmox?.
thanks
Dear all,
I was asking in a previous thread about RAID+SSDs or PCIe SSD. Then I realized the Proxmox kernel is based on that from RHEL. My question is... Does all hardware working on RHEL work on Proxmox?. Should all kernel modules developed for RHEL be compatible with Proxmox?. If not, how...
Thanks, they look amazing but I must be sure it will work under Proxmox ... They provide Linux drivers but, al usual, only for Enterprise distributions I am afraid.

thanks a lot. I will include it for consideration.
Sure I will! Too much money in the game.
if experiences are good, I could also contemplate a RAID controller plus SSDs. I have read some threads about this but they are more than a year old. Perhaps some new combinations on the market that deal well with Proxmox?.
thanks again
