Quick question because I've hit a brick wall.
Long story short I've loaded Opnsense as a vm running my router in bridge mode. I have several vm's and containers and one of them is Centos Web Panel.
Although I've opened up the ports for this and set up port forwarding, ports that are requested to...
This is a pbs 3 install with an LSI SAS9211 with 6x 2tb sas hard drives hosted in a Dell Poweredge R710. PBS is installed on a USB pen and booted from that through BIOS (rather than UEFI)
After installation PBS can see all 7 drives. That is to say the 6 sas drives and the USB boot drive. However...

OK, I've gone through the forum and Google over the past few days and can't resolve this issue I have.
I have a Dell R710 and removed the Perc h7xx and replaced it with a Perc H200. I then flashed the card so that it was in IT mode with bios so that I could boot to a drive if I wanted to.
When...
Thanks for the reassurance.
I guess it is possible that I have misconfigured the DHCP as I have tried to avoid clashing with the Draytek's ip and set the Pfsense to a higher ip range in the same subnet.
I'll go back to the console and reconfigure the LAN :)
Hi guys I hope this is a quick answer for someone.
I have installed Pfsense 2.6.0 on Proxmox 7.3.3.
The install went well and I installed a WAN (static public ip) and a LAN with a static ip and a DHCP pool.
Pinged and all went well and as far as I can see both LAN and WAN are setup fine.
This...
This is pretty much it I think:

Hey guys I wonder if anyone has had this issue before. I backed up an instance of Nextcloud (CT) and restored it through PBS but the difference in data size is astonishing.
The restored Nextcloud reports that it is using 32gb, which I believe is a fair account for the amount of data that is...
Excellent ! Sorry it has taken so long to reply but I've been out of town.
I can now see that I haven't set up the Pfsense firewall correctly as I haven't placed it at the perimeter and the clients on a separate internal subnet. My attempt exposed the guests as they were all placed at the...
I just wanted to ask the community if I have set up PFSense correctly as I've only ever tried to do this once before and failed. My main concern is that the guests are using PFSense to access the internet.
OK here's what I did.
I already had Proxmox VE installed and running and has about 8 VM's...
I wanted to post the results of the weekend. It turns out that changing my NIC card dragged up a lot of problems. That said I can conclude that none of them were actually the fault of Proxmox VE, well not directly. What I did in the end was to reconnect the Proxmox Backup Server to a new...
Hi oguz,
I followed your instructions and indeed I was able to restore all of the guests.
I have to say that Proxmox Backup Server is a very professional setup and I highly recommend everyone to setup a PBS rather than the old way of backing up.
Now I need to learn more about PBS, as I'm sure...
OK long story short.. Changed hardware on the PVE and the guests no longer have access to the network properly. Maybe a dns issue but pings are all good. So today I put a new bunch of hdds into the server and installed a fresh copy of PVE (preserving the old array for emergency use if all else...

I'm at work at the moment but will do that when I return at about 11pm UK time :)
But I remember editing the /etc/network/interfaces in order to correct the right network card name. It was after doing that I was able to log in to the gui. There is only one nic plugged in.
Here's my story.
I installed and ran Proxmox 7 on a Dell Poweredge R710. Things were good and I hade about 6 containers and a couple of vm's. I realised how useful Proxmox was and my projects grew to the point that I had to upgrade the hardware. I ended up buying a better conditioned R710 with...
