Hi everyone,
So I want to spin up an Telegraf / InfluxDB / Grafana stack for monitoring/alerting of my Proxmox cluster and all my VMs/containers. Currently have 3 nodes in a homelab environment, but trying to do this according to best practices.
I know how to set it up, but ran into the issue...
False alarm - turns out that my firewall was dropping packets from the proxmox server because of an improperly created rule.
I was able to access the web interface but the connection would drop and the UI/shell would freeze after a few seconds/minutes. However, my session wouldn't be lost...
Ok next update:
SSL certs updated using `pvecm updatecerts --force`
Still working it out though. Enabling debug mode in syslog didn't reveal anything super helpful either. No firewall enabled. Guests operate as expected without any instability.
My gut is telling me that corosync might be at...
Ok so after some digging, I think my ssl certs don't match my IP. I recently implemented VLANs and had to change my IPs bringing them out of sync with the certs
Hi All,
I recently did a fresh install on my server of PVE 7 and migrated my VMs from my old PVE 6.4 box. Initially all was well, but after creating a cluster (with both boxes on PVE 7) I now cannot use the web UI for longer than a few seconds at a time. The underlying box appears fine - I...
Congrats on the new release! I was about to install 6.4 on my new home server last night, but glad I waited a day!
Looking forward to the new features/upgrades :)
Hi everyone, hoping for some advice on this. I've never run Proxmox on a cluster before. Until now, I've run a single Proxmox server with 2 zpools: an SSD-based "rpool" zpool & an HDD-based "rust" zpool. Most of my VM zvols are stored on one or the other, but one VM (my NAS) has zvols on...
Hi, is there a consensus on the best way to do a fresh, clean install of proxmox while preserving VM zvols/configurations? I have a 600GB ZFS RAID10 rpool with 3 VM zvols and a few ISOs I want to preserve. I also have a secondary zpool called "nas" that has a few TB of free space.
In the GUI...
Gotcha, this makes sense. I've seen grub has potential issues with ZFS features before. Ubuntu gets around this by enabling only certain feature-sets on root, but I don't know the specifics.
My system is using grub, so I will hold off on upgrading the root pool for now. Thanks!
Thanks so much for constantly developing and improving this system!
I had a quick question regarding ZFS 2.0.4 which is now default. I upgraded using apt update && apt dist-upgrade but my root pool now flags that it can be upgraded. Am I able to run a zpool upgrade on the root pool or are...
