Hi,
I just updated to the latest version of PVE and on restart my server was not available of all networks.
I took me a bit to figure it out but i found out that the latest update renamed some of my interfaces. The problem is limited to only one network card but it was quite troublesome.
I...
Yes, same problem here. Cold migrate works perfectly but on live migrate :
Rounding up size to full physical extent 4.00 MiB
Logical volume "vm-102-disk-0" created.
transferred 0.0 B of 128.0 KiB (0.00%)
transferred 128.0 KiB of 128.0 KiB (100.00%)

Hi,
In our infrastructure we use PVE + PBS and VMWare+Veeam.
A feature that is very useful on veeam and that i don't see on PVE or PBS is the backup retry.
This functionality is quite useful for us because if a backup fail for any reason, the backup is retried 3 times before it's canceled...
Yeah you guessed right, the old storage is too slow. (via FTP the 10TB transfer was estimated in the neighborhood of 36 hours)
This storage being used for our PBS backup repository and i'm trying to move it to a newer more performant server.
What i did to solve this is:
- create a second...
Hi,
I'm trying to move a VM disk from one SMB share to another. But i have a problem with that, the disk in question is 10TB.
I did my research and tried to move it several times without success. Here is what i did:
Try preallocation off
Try moving it as qcow or raw
Try to shut down...
I checked and there is nothing in the last 12 hours, just crons and backups running and workers stoping and starting.
At the time of the crash, no warning of any kind in journalctl.
Thank you for your answer.
No, we are not running HA yet. But we are running in a cluster.
Here is the result of the command:
root@pve5:~# journalctl -u pve-ha-lrm
-- Journal begins at Tue 2022-11-15 19:35:35 CET, ends at Wed 2023-01-04 14:59:49 CET. --

Hi,
We had recently a node that restarted suddenly without any warnings.
The machine was running pretty capped RAM wise.
I downloaded the logs from the node in question but i don't see any trace in them.
all i see is the start phase, nothing interesting before
Can you lead me to a log file...
Hi,
I'm experiencing a big problem. We are currently in a big migration of our infrastructure. And i've been noticing that when i live migrate a VM from a Intel hypervisor to an AMD hypervisor, all the machines on the AMD Hypervisor starts to freak out with kernel panics due to reaction time...
Hi,
I experienced yesterday a peculiar problem while adding a storage.
We have a file server on which i created a SMB share.
For our PBS, i created a vmdisk of 10TB on that SMB share. when i added it the process timed out.
What is weird is that on the file server, i saw the object created and...
Thank you i created a feature request on the bugzilla: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4240
I will try in the meantime to restore a VM disk using a temp folder and then import it as you adviced me.
Regards,
Thomas
So the command would look like this ? : proxmox-backup-client restore vm/1015/2022-01-01T00:00:00Z drive-scsi0.img.fidx /dev/EQ3-LVM-VG/drive-scsi0.img
From what i can see, when i go in the LVM in question i don't see all my disks and all of them don't have the same attributes i don't know...
Hi,
I'm creating this topic because we have a bit of a problem.
We have a big machine that we use as a NAS (FreeNAS) that has 11G on the first drive and 700G on the second drive.
Lately we have experienced a lot of problems with that machine (freezes after backups followed by a reset that more...
Ok. If it's how that works I understand better.
I have changed the times of these actions (sync, CG ...) a bit i'll see in the next few days if it did the trick
Thank you,
Regards
Thomas
Yeah, it looks like there is some overlapping, but it doesn't seems to be the cause of the sync failed because the process continues after that.
I'm gonna look into it in the meantime and maybe space a bit more the sync task and the GC task.
What is really weird is that it's not failing all the...
