maybe this is of interest for anybody who is using proxmox with samba/cifs and has observed performance issues. i have searched for this for a while know and had this issue for at least more then a year. recent samba has a fix for it. https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/16490

what status is the pool in when the disk failed ? (zpool status -v )
