No I have a dedicated 10 gig for the migrations.

I am able to pct stop vmid. Then move the vm to the node that has the replicated copy of the vm with: mv /etc/pve/nodes/prox-002/lxc/313.conf /etc/pve/nodes/prox-001/lxc/313.conf

This has happened twice in 24 hours. Was trying to migrate CT's to second node and the first 2 went ok, but 3rd tried and then this happened. I cancelled the migrate and here I am. Last night I got it going again after I forced a reboot. It took several hours to get everything up again. see...

However single migration works fine. What is wrong. Migrations are going to hosts that house the ct replications.

The original issue was that I right clicked on the template in the web interface and selected migrate. To fix it I made snapshots, then cloned them from the gui. When I was done I deleted all the original linked CT's & then deleted the template.

I cloned the CT's then deleted the linked CT's so I could delete the template.

This did a linked CT, how do I set the mode to full clones?

Never mind, I ran my dhcp server out of addresses.

I have 60 CT's spread across 3 nodes. I can not display the console on any CT ID# after 288. Seams to start though. I already adjusted : sysctl fs.inotify.max_user_instances=512 Open to idea's.

I moved a template that had linked CT's on it to a different node. It will not allow me to move it back. The strange thing is that I thought it would break the CT's that are linked but it hasn't.

Thank you for the reply. The containers pull data from flat files, these are small queries about every 3-7 minutes. i/o is very low between 10 and 25. I need to figure out what the max i/o is on the nodes. The customer that runs 1000's of CT's any idea what they are using for hardware?

I'm having troubles googling this, can someone point me to info that shows how to size hardware for container use? Also if this is not possible let me know. I decided to test ProxMox to see if I could increase density on existing hardware. Looking to run 100's of containers per node, if...
