Hi Tom, Thanks. Its just a regular Supermicro DVD-rom like we've used on dozens of servers. The controller is the internal IDE controller of the Supermicro X8DTL-iF MB.

I tried to install PVE on a new server. It boots from cdrom and when it should install it tells me cdrom not found. I moved the cdrom to the secundairy position, it makes no difference. Are there any boot options or other tricks I can do to solve this?

I'm sure many users have not upgraded yet for just as many reasons. Do I understand right that adding a 1.5 node to the 1.x cluster and migration (without 'online' selected) to that new node works from the older nodes?

Hi, We use usbdrives for our backups. They almost die more quickly then I can replace them. Sometimes they last 6 months. Yesterday one lasted an hour. I take a new drive plug them in, and do "mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdc1" It starts to partition it etc and thats it. Anything wrong with that method?

Well not that I'm aware off (not exactly certain what it means). But it is running. Will it help if we migrate the container first with quota's off to try and enable them on the new server? The server it is on now has problems with its filesystem.
