Supported MediaTek WiFi Module not Showing in Proxmox lspci

No experience with that particular Adapter, but I had a few Issues of my own on some Rock 5B SBC with Mediatek USB WiFi Adapters. There I have the Fenvi which uses the mt7921au Driver (non-n) which is a USB-to-WiFi Adapter. First of all, did you rebuild the Initramfs and reboot after you...

Firefox - CTRL or SHIFT or ALT not working in Guest VM

I tried on my Laptop. One VM didn't work no matter what I did. Rebooting seems to have fixed that Issue on the Laptop. All other VMs seems to work on the Laptop. On Librewolf on the Desktop everything is still broken. After Reboot, on Chromium on the Desktop (which I never use) it works OK...

Firefox - CTRL or SHIFT or ALT not working in Guest VM

I tried Disabling U-Block Origin on Librewolf OR ResistFingerprinting (NOT both at the same Time). With everything Enabled I get lots of Errors in the Librewolf Console, but not sure what's causing them: TypeError: this is undefined bootstrap-legacy-autofill-overlay.js:6247:9...

Firefox - CTRL or SHIFT or ALT not working in Guest VM

Running latest PVE, with or without ResistFingerprinting, on Librewolf and Chromium, noVNC still refuses to work :(. This was working until at least a few Weeks ago (I rarely use the Console if I can reach the VM by SSH).

Proxmox VE Detected as an IPv6 Router and Neighbor Discovery not working

On one Linux Client, ip -6 neighbor lists the Proxmox VE Host(s) as Router, when they clearly are not: 2XXX:XXXX:XXXX:1::A:B dev eno1 lladdr 11:22:33:44:55:66 router REACHABLE Setting sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.vmbr0.forwarding=0 on the Proxmox VE Host fixed that, but I wonder if that also caused...

    [TUTORIAL] [High Availability] Watchdog reboots

I'm a bit confused though ... https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#_requirements_3 says (about HA): So it would appear it's not possible to enable HA with a Single / Standalone Node (well, it also doesn't make much sense to enable HA in such case obviously). Are you talking...

    [TUTORIAL] [High Availability] Watchdog reboots

First of all, thanks for your Efforts in shedding Light on this Topic. I currently rely on the Watchdog on some Raspberry Pi SBC in order to force a Reboot in case they freeze for whatever Reason. I was planning on doing the same with Proxmox VE (single Standalone Host, no HA) and to my...

ipcc_send_rec error on debian buster fresh install

A few years later, but I also received that error Message but for a completely different Reason. In my Case, I did the setup from a Debian LiveUSB, debootstrap Debian Bookworm onto the SSD and, without rebooting (sigh  ), I also proceeded to install Proxmox VE and created a...

    Improve write amplification?

I did my own Test Script to try to see the Impacts of Write Amplification now that I plan on converting existing 8k volblocksize Virtual Disks into 16k volblocksize Virtual Disks. Repository and Script: https://github.com/luckylinux/proxmox-tools/blob/main/benchmark_write_amplification_guest.sh...

Can't remove old vm-disk "data set is busy"

You are welcome :) . I also just adapted that line from something I found online. Cannot remember exactly where. I usually put a comment with the "Source" or "Reference" for it. Pretty sure I just googled linux kill/list processes running inside chroot online or something along those Lines...

Can't remove old vm-disk "data set is busy"

You are Welcome :). I agree that unfortunately Google > Built-in Search Feature . If you ever happen to rescue a system from LiveCD/LiveUSB, and the Pool (of the Chrooted System that you attempt to recover) refuses to export (Cannot export 'rpool': Pool is busy Error Message), that's...

system stuck in C0 and C1 pkg C states

Not sure if you managed to solve it or not, but I'm going through different Systems to try to enable ASPM. Some of them work, some of them seem quite Stubborn for no apparent Reason. For the most likely causes I tried to compile some README (with Links to other Tools / Patch Scripts)...

Proxmox with Second Hand Enterprise SSDs

Intenso SSDs I read VERY BAD Things about, I assume that's why you have triple Redundancy. About Spinning Rust no complains so far with HGST / Toshiba, but knocking on Wood ...

And about SATA/SAS, anything good there in your Opinion ? I really don't have that many slots for NVME (if any).

Problem with HP NC364T and pfsense

    Old Post, but I started having Similar Errors, although NOT with the (uninitialized) Part. [43727.251415] e1000e 0000:04:00.1 enp4s0f1: Hardware Error [43727.287525] e1000e 0000:04:00.0 enp4s0f0: Hardware Error [46873.169962] e1000e 0000:04:00.1 enp4s0f1: Hardware Error [46873.204187] e1000e...

Optiming Virtual Disk Volume Block Size (Host) and EXT4 Blocks/Groups (Guest)

It just occurred to me that the Reason why I'm getting such a MASSIVE overhead on my Backup Server (which has 2 x RAIDZ-2 x 6 Disks each) is because the Default ZVOL on Proxmox VE is (or probably "was" for a long Time, and many of my Virtual Disks are quite Old) 8k, which results in a Space...

Proxmox with Second Hand Enterprise SSDs

Would you be able to give a quick Summary? To read that Forum Section seems like a Full Time Job . There were some Auctions of NVME PCIe x8 Samsung MZ-PLK3T20 3.2TB as well as NVME PCIe x8 Sandisk SDFADAMOS-3T20-SF1 ioMemory 3.2TB Toda,y but (even though they were sold quite Cheap, 125...

Proxmox with Second Hand Enterprise SSDs

But what SSD would you reccomend besides the Intel S3610 ? I have lots of space for SATA not so much for PCIe (or M.2, let alone U.2) since I don't really have Slots / Caddies for those (in the Supermicro Chassis) or PCIe Lanes available (in Desktop-Like chassis such as a Fractal Define R4/R5/XL...

Proxmox with Second Hand Enterprise SSDs

Well, I think they are marketed as Mixed Use (whereas the S3700/S3710 was for more Write-Intensive Workloads). But yes, agreed, 4.2TB (or "4TB" for short just to avoid Confusion with the Decimal / 1k Separator <.> vs <,> vs <'>) - which might actually be 34TB due to the wrong Sector/Block size...

Proxmox with Second Hand Enterprise SSDs

So you can confirm VERY high values for the same Attributes (Raw_Read_Error_Rate and Read_Soft_Error_Rate) ? What about the Reallocated Sector Count which I have at 1 or 2, should I be worried about that ? If I could trust the SMART Attribute 180 the Unused_Rsvd_Blk_Cnt_Tot is set at around...
