Feature Request: Block Storage Integration with storage vendors

I pretty understand that CEPH have "some" cool features.. some maybe close to HIGH END storages, but for us, as a cloud enterprise, that offers from high to low cost platform cloud, being able to offer to our customers a cost-effective solution with features only available in high costly cloud...

Adjust CPU graphs based on CPU ratio limit

Hi, When we define resources limits on CPU usage, example: 2 vcpu with CPU limit of 1.0 (50%) the VM CPU usage graphs only goes to 50% maximum, but the VM is using 100% of the resources available because of the ratio limit imposed at this VM. Is possible to adjust the graphs based on CPU limit...

Feature Request: Block Storage Integration with storage vendors

We use because we already have these storage in-place, being used for our VMware cloud infrastructure.. so, there is no reason to use CEPH since we already have a working storage infrastructure... Again, CEPH does not provide the same set of features as HIGH-END storage vendors (I'm talking...

Feature Request: Block Storage Integration with storage vendors

CEPH doesn't have the same advanced features as storage vendors has.. also is not compatible for integration with third-party backup softwares... like Veeam Backup, etc... Managing block volumes on top of proprietary storage software is much more convenient because you can leverage the storage...

Feature Request: Block Storage Integration with storage vendors

Hi, There are plans for Proxmox support block storage integrations drivers for storage vendors like DELL,HP,IBM,LENOVO etc.. the same way OpenStack CINDER does? Would be nice to use this for storage features like Create/Delete snapshots, create/attach/extend block storage volumes directly on...

    hardware

Both will support!! Proxmox doesn't have a specific hardware matrix, since it's based on Debian... the important thing is the infrastructure to be used with virtualization... and your goals!!!

    ZFS-local (iSCSI device)

No, I meant use ZFS-Local over an iSCSI attached device (via open-iscsi/multipathd), I thought the ZFS-local was only supported with SAS attached disks.. but as LnxBil said, there is no difference if the disk is a SAS attached or an iSCSI lun.. once it's not shared to others hosts on SAN will be...

    ZFS-local (iSCSI device)

Hi, I know that is possible to use ZFS-local filesystem with proxmox with LOCAL disks.. But if I configure an iscsi LUN via open-iscsi/multipahd locally at proxmox node and than create a ZFS filesystem on top of it, will proxmox recognize this disk/lun as local disk ? or ZFS-local is only...

Adding external server to Proxmox CEPH Cluster

Proxmox CEPH is just a CEPH storage like any other environment that uses CEPH as base storage system.. so, basically, you just need to connect your external ceph client to proxmox ceph storage... just pay attention to the requirements, like allow the correct access on the keyring file in order...

    Changing Proxmox backup limit number.

just add a '--remove 1' to your /etc/pve/vzdump.cron job, it will remove the oldest backup file and make room for a new backup, maintaining your backup retention police to 5... Otherwise, if you just raise the backup limit to 15, it will start to fail again shortly!!

    replicating VM without ZFS

No, Storage replication is only supported with ZFS-local storage, anything different from it, is "probably" a shared storage.. so, replication will not be necessary, but you will need to have a good backup/dr strategy!!
