    Fair enough, judging from the ZFS 0.7 release schedule from RC to final release (~10 months) I'm guessing it will be another year for sure before Proxmox will have this integrated. Oh well - something to look forward to :-)

    @iBot thanks for your answer - how has your experience been so far using it? Possibly @fabian can shed some light on whether 0.8 is being consider for integration in a next Proxmox release?

    ZFS 0.8 new features in proxmox

    There's currently a Release Candidate for ZFS including the Encryption-at-Rest features: 0.8.0-rc1 (as a new user I can't post links yet). Would it be possible to (manually) use ZFS 0.8.0-RC1 with Proxmox?
