I did try a quad 25g card on the nuc6 and was running quite fine. Just boot xubuntu iso or garuda lin , put iperf and try. get a working hrwd, then check prox later.

Simply install a proper working version. disconnect your modem, instal Prox 7.1, add the 8-10 setting for enable passthroug and run any vm.

As you only start with proxmox, lot of different setting and different pc config do affect. You will have to read a week on proxmox to have usable system or chasing issues all time. Also, start only with live iso as : xubuntu. All will be quick and easy to confirm and not chase, bad install, bad...

Have you read all code change for the beta package ? As updating is to try out and find errors and post log related to certain commit. If you only need a working server, just install direct iso.

you have to read about the way proxmox do used mem. Assign x qty of ram don't mean it consume all of it in the vm. For the rest, not enought detail given. Passthrough is a requirement.
