Hi, on my test-cluster i upgraded all my nodes from 7.0 to 7.1 CEPH went to pacific 16.2.7 (was 16.2.5?) Now the monitors and managers won't start. I had a pool and cephFS configured with MDS. I've read somewhere that a pool in combination with an old cephFS (i came from PVE6) it could...

[SOLVED] new ceph cluster, 1 node 500 timeout

Hi, 7 new nodes here. On each node "do you want to install ceph" answered yes. 1 node does not get its ceph straight and gets the " error 500 timeout" when browsing to the cpeh section(s). How to reinitiate the installation for this 1 node? Nothing has been done on ceph yet.

    MTU-size, CEPH and public network

So you would say: keep those cluster- & public-network the same framesize (if at the same NIC) Even then, it is best to keep cluster and public at different IP's (through VLANS)? In my test-setup i took the same IP for public & cluster but i want to use CEPH for other things than proxmox only...

    MTU-size, CEPH and public network

Hi, in a couple of days we'll get our 7 node hardware delivered (4 nics: BOND4LAN , BOND4CEPH). We'll setup OSD's on 5 nodes For the cluster network i understand it is best to use MTU 9000 for faster object replication. The remaining 2 nodes will only connect to the CEPH client to gain access...

[SOLVED] cloud-init limited at 1 GB

Hello, I don't know if it was also on 6 but since the upgrade from PVE 6 to 7 i cannot add more memory to the VM. When i add another GB of mem, it stays at 927MB It is based on the template made with this command: qm create 9001 -name UB-2004-CI-20210803 --memory 2048 --net0...

    Kernel 5.11

Hi, can anyone confirm a ZEN3 working setup with this or the new ISO? Company is about to invest in ZEN2 (rome) or preferably ZEN3 (milan) setup. It could take a month or 2 before the hardware will arrive but i don't think PVE7.0 will be ready by then. Regards, Martijn
