permission denied - invalid PVE ticket (401)

Next time I notice logging out, I will grep syslog for pveproxy and pvedaemon.

permission denied - invalid PVE ticket (401)

As the problems were with only one node, I did systemctl restart pvedaemon pveproxy on that node and no more errors with logging in, not with our monitoring system or with our desktops. This for sure is a bug. Should I open a bug report? @fabian Workaround would be, to do a cronjob restart of...

Now even our monitoring system get's kicked out and then just works again.. something strange is happening.. i think we should open a bug...

Looking to migrate from TrueNAS and 3 NUC's

I would suggest you open a new topic to discuss GPU pass-trough to multiple LXCs or VMs.

Looking to migrate from TrueNAS and 3 NUC's

You were lucky. My experience differs, they have even worse failure rate then Seagate desktop drives for me. Also other user pointed out a thread about how bad some models are. I'm not sure, if it's different when using LXCs, but for KVM VMs, it sure can't be shared. Or at least it could not be...

permission denied - invalid PVE ticket (401)

Coworker got the same errors, while it worked for me. FYI He was able to fix it after manually removing cookies. :-) No need to restart pve stuff.

Nvme pass through to work as a VM installation medium.

Resource loss is negligible in this case. Just use thick LVM. As the hardware configuration would change when booting inside VM and then outside, Windows will get deactivated each time you change it hardware. Games need GPU, which can not be shared. CPU time can be shared. If you really want to...

Backup job multiple times a day

Tnx for the hint of editing the text file. :-) Done: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3152 .

Nvme pass through to work as a VM installation medium.

Wow so much complications.. Why don't you use it the way it;s supposed to be used? Create a thin or thick LVM storage on that NVMe disk, or even ZFS for that matter and then create two VMs on it, each getting half of the space..

Looking to migrate from TrueNAS and 3 NUC's

If you will use ZFS, WD Red might cause problems (unusably slow they are). Google it. Other stuff seems fine. If you have a single GPU, how can you pass thru to two instances at once? You will need two GPUs as well, however I use Emby and Plex as LXCs on old HP tower server and works just fine...

Connection error 401: permission denied - invalid PVE ticket

Seems like more people are getting hit by this "issue". If you can, you can help with debugging as dcsapak asks for, but if you want it just to start working, take a look at my thread, for what to restart. https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/permission-denied-invalid-pve-ticket-401.78873/#post-349223

Configure Proxmox to allow for 2 minutes of shared storage downtime?

Oh and I considered them as a true HA storage provider, but a software upgrade takes whole HA cluster down... not really HA then. Even my home brewed cman/pacemaker/corosync/DRBD/iscsi storage can be upgraded without outage. A few years back I even went from pacemaker to cman without a second of...

Backup job multiple times a day

Hi guys, is there a way to create a single backup job, that is run multiple times per day? Now with new backup system, we can afford multiple backups, so I have created around 10 backup jobs to get it done, which is kinda stupid.. :-) Immagine the fun of excluding or including single VM for...

    Monitoring backups

This is a nice script, but this will notify only after 28 hours of no successful backups and for some VMs we don't even use more than a few hours old backups. It will also fail to notify you about backups manually started via GUI, becayse there typefilter would be pvedaemon in that case.

permission denied - invalid PVE ticket (401)

No, I did try different browsers, cleared cache, different client PCs, .. etc It did not work anywhere and started working everywhere after restart of those services on the host.

My nodes have the same time, they use ntp. This is the first thing I checked. :-)

permission denied - invalid PVE ticket (401)

Hi guys, in PM 6 I got the "permission denied - invalid PVE ticket (401)" when using WEB GUI on one of the cluster nodes. It logged me out of WEB GUI as soon as I started browsing the effected node via HTTP, even if I originally connected to another node. Other nodes work fine. I solved it by...

    WHMCS or alternatives and ProxMox

Hi, I got tired of managing VMs on PM nodes by hand for each customer. I miss the good old days of CoudStack where this was all automated. So I'm looking at WHMCS for customers to get console and other "admin" access with automatic payments, etc.. I see there are a few extensions for WHMCS and...

    Monitoring backups

Tnx for suggeston, but it is basically just another way to get pvesh get /nodes/XXX/tasks --typefilter vzdump --errors and we already do that. :-)

Migration issue - storage 'zfs1-vps1' is not available on node

It also has GUI. Depends on the version of PM you use.
