Hi,
I have more than 6 NICS in my server. Is there a possibility to create LINUX BOND for LACP at the installation stage or add it after the installation for vmbr0?
I tried but it says the default gateway already exists on vmbr0.
Any ideas on how to achieve this?
Cheers,
Hi All,
I already have setup LACP between my Cisco Switch and the Dell R720 running Proxmox. This LACP is VLAN aware and can carry VLAN20,30 etc. traffic.
I also have some spare NICs on my server and on the Cisco switch, therefore, I now want to setup Security Onion.
This is what I want to...
Hi,
I have the following 1TB nvme that I have setup as a LVM for the VMs:
When I try to wipe the disk I get the following Error:
The reason I wish to wipe it because I can see there are quite a few raw disks on this NVME and I want to remove them all to start over:
I can't remove the...
Hi,
I have a builtin `Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 Mobile / Max-Q` which I want to passthrough to a windows 10 VM. Here is the vm config:

Hi,
I have installed an `1TB Evo Plus` in my proxmox server.
However, once the windows vm is up and running. The read/write speeds and `significantly` lower than the actual spec.
Why would that be the case?
I attached the NVME using lvm.
thanks
My research suggests that running any database over NFS is a bad idea. Postgres runs great on FreeBSD - so I am gone use a jail instead within TrueNas.
Postgres compiles cleanly and neatly on FreeBSD, and by using a jail on a TrueNas host, you combine the NAS's large amounts of memory along...
The thing is that I have a Postgres dataset within TrueNas. My Postgres instance is managed by Kubernetes. I am mounting the TrueNas dataset using NFS within the VM.
I am not sure how I could optimise it further? The only other option is perhaps to create a Postgres jail within TrueNas and...
Hi,
I got a new nvme m.2 1TB drive for VM's ONLY so that they are quick and snappy!
What's the best way to expose it to proxmox as?
I was thinking of thin provisioning?
Do you have any recommendations?
Many thanks
In that case, I would rather keep the zfs pool in truenas VM and then use iSCSI to mount it within the VM.
thank you for your reply :) you've been a great help. wish there was a direct message facility where I could DM you :)
Hi,
Sorry to keep this thread alive. but this is how I created a zvol for Postgres in truenas. is this what you mean by 8K volblocksize for Postgres?
I have set the block size to 8KiB as discussed above. I am planning to export it to my proxmox as iSCSI share and then pass it to my ubuntu VM...
Hi,
I have a local zfs pool that I created in the proxmox.
Then I created a dataset for my Postgres database as:
zfs create tank/postgres -o ashift=12 -o compression=lz4
I can see that it is mounted in my proxmox at:
tank/postgres
I now wish to pass this dataset to my ubuntu server VM.
How do...
I did too but how do you explain the following:
I have 2 identical drives, I was able to remove the type 2 protection from one drive but unable to do it on the second??
Here is what I did:
sg_format --format --size=512 /dev/da2
After the format, it shows this:
sg_readcap -l /dev/da2
