If it's a VM and not container/host you can only restore the entire VM.
I repeat: this thread regards only the opening of a blob file, no restoration of "running files"
I've created a Proxmox Backup Reader that doesn't own backups:
correctly it can read all backups
correctly it can download backups
uncorrectly it cannot download a single file from a ct backup (from the dir icon, not config)
Anyone?
Tx, Diaolin
you should restore with the internal pve commands like
qmrestore <archive> <vmid> <options>
pct restore <vmid> <ostemplate>
This is the command

Do you have a command for reading the content of a index.json.blob?
I know that is visible through interface....
I don't mean "edit" but "read"
Tx, Diaolin
Resolved with bash
backup-names.sh
#!/bin/bash
# Phases passed to script as $1
#job-start
#backup-start
#pre-stop
#pre-restart
#post-restart
#backup-end
#log-end
#job-end

# add to vzdump as last parameter "--script completepath" (shoud be executable) in /etc/pve/vzdump.cron

This is not true, i use it but it add's a note to the snapshot and not to the ct
ok for the hook, i'll do but why not add it automatic? With many containers (even vm)
this were useful.
I'll take a look to the hooks but if you have an update by the way :-)

Found that is not a problem of open files...
Tte CT freezes every 4-5 hours withouth motivation, sleeps (only postfix processes, apache is ok) 20 minutes and then starts again withouth intervention
This is the symptom and the effect.
Anyone had this problem?
Diaolin

on node one i have a CT 100 mysql master
on node two i have a CT 101 mysql slave
when they syncronize/replicate host two has too much open files and another postfix CT becomes unusable for 15 minutes
the version is...
Seen in the client side the possiblity to add a note.
It could be useful add the note automagically and add the name of the container/vm.
Have you any plan?
Many tx,
Diaolin
I use PBS and i find it very quick and good and i have anoher question:
Is it possible to have container names in the backup interface?
I add a screen shot of the actual backups
Is it possible to have even the name of the container in addition to it's ID?
Many tx.
I mean like the...
Hmmm, interesting.
I've many containers very big
Do you know if i choose Stopped how much time does it remain stopped?
FOr the whole backup or as with the KVM, only few seconds?
Tx
