I would recommend a ZFS RAID10 with the 500G SSD as a L2arc cache ZFS RAID is better that mdadam anyday ZFS Likes RAM and uses that to cache too so make sure you either buy more ram or limit the ram that zfs can use using sysctl.conf

Looks like you have fake raid. better if you can configure that to a HBA - (IT Mode) and expose your disks directly to proxmox and use zfs - raidz to do a RAID 5 trust me its better than hardware raid

Bandwith is usually measured in Kbps / Mbps vs MBps Why not give an option to do this as data transfer is measured in bytes and bandwidth is measured in bits
