Revisiting this a few months later. Great work on PBS by the way o7.
I've started to set up iptables and I'm sure that it's a mistake I'm making but after setting the default policy to DROP on the INPUT after adding a couple of ALLOW rules for SSH and port 8007, it seems that I can no longer...
You may be able to use DNS SRV records to achieve this, if you are able to adjust the NFS ports on your NAS and then adjust your router NAT accordingly? I recall doing this for minecraft servers once:

If it helps, I did have a NFS mount that was around 9TB mounted from within Proxmox GUI and mapped to /mnt/nfsbackup which I had to manually remove from the PVE CT .conf file as after trying to remove it using the GUI, shutting down the CT and restarting, the mount was still showing in the GUI...
Not that I can see.
I ran the command find / -type f -printf '%n %p\n' | awk '$1 > 1{$1="";print}' to list all hardlinks on this LXC
and it returned a list of around 3100 files.
Using the command find / -type f -empty this returned 247,000 files
Are there any other commands I could run to...
Only the Windows VM seems to have the black screen. Two other VMs (not LXCs) seem to be fine and display a command line prompt or a linux desktop as expected.
CTRL-SHIFT-J doesnt seem to work on the NoVNC window from within Chrome, but I was able to access the developer tools from Firefox...

This is the task log from the PBS LXC backup:

An update: The 400GB LXC backup finished some 12 hours later but the reported size is 9TB which clearly is incorrect.
I checked to see if there were any external mount points within the LXC (which there are none) and on running df -h within the LXC this is the output:
Filesystem...
I think that you may need to edit the /etc/pve/corosync.conf file which is mirrored to all nodes, however, I would try this out on a test cluster first, mirroring your node infrastructure and seeing what happens when you change the IP addresses in this file. If you nest proxmox (ie. create VMs...
I'm running the first backup on an 400GB LXC. This starts ok as I can see traffic across the PVE node to PBS as what I would expect, however after a while the traffic dies down to mere KBs and the backup is still running.
Being an LXC, there is no percentage shown in the task window (this only...
I've just completed an upgrade of PVE from 5.x to 6.x and all went (mostly) smoothly. Thanks for the great help at https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_5.x_to_6.0
I have a Windows 10 VM that was running on PVE5 before the upgrade and I was able to view the screen using the NoVNC console...
Are there any plans to add alerts (email/sms/other) tied to VM/CT events and stats from within Proxmox? I can add monitoring from within the VM itself by using third party tools but it might be nice to have a toolkit that allows me to monitor and alert all managed from within the PVE interface...
That seems to be the answer; Firefox seems to simply be quite slow even if I have no JS or advert blockers installed. Has anyone else experienced this?
Not sure how to troubleshoot this one beyond what I've already tried.
It seems that when using the proxmox console , the refresh is very slow sometimes taking a few seconds to update after pressing keys. This is not the case when SSHing into the VM which seems as fast as I'd expect.
The host...
Whilst I know that PBS is meant to be a standalone unit and not necessarily part of a PVE cluster, are there plans to add firewall control to the GUI, or are you expecting a PBS to typically not be web facing or only existing behind a third party firewall device?
Thats my point. Some people of course will be quite happy to edit the code but then of course, they haven't paid anything. If the idea behind the nag screen is to get people to subscribe but they feel for any reason that 85euros is too much then perhaps a minimum donation towards the cause is...
