If you can access a command line you could try removing the backup files?
If you cannot boot into a terminal or command line, you could try mounting the drive (assuming its a single drive and not a RAID) into another PC and then removing some files manually?
I'm a fickle person and I apologies in advance.
I see other peoples accounts have custom Avatars installed and I want to know who I need to sweet talk to get my own Avatar working for my profile, or is this something that cannot be done?
Just revisiting this as my original question was about how to get some kind of progress when backup up an LXC using PBS. We get an update for VMs but for some reason theres no feedback on progress for LXCs, even in PVE8
That makes sense as PBS uses some kind of chunk comparison system to reduce bandwidth I believe but reducing bandwidth means increased CPU and IO to determine if a chunk is still the same.
I'll update this ticket with my findings when I've had the chance to run some tests.
I'd be interested in opinions of using Dropbox or any other cloud based storage solution as a location for PBS chunks/backups.
I was considering using dbxfs and mounting the dropbox account as a folder within PBS. As the chunks are ~4mb, max file size wouldn't be an issue.
Has anyone achieved...
I've installed Proxmox 8.2 onto a server with 2 x 512GB nvme drives that are software RAID 1 via OVHs proxmox installer.
After the OVH induced installation, I have PVE running with "local" storage configured as a directory (mount point /var/lib/vz) and its using the majority share of the disk...
I have a 3 node cluster in my home lab. Each Node has a single NIC and all can access the WAN and the physical LAN ok.
I'm struggling to set up a VNET or virtual network so that some of the VMs/LXCs can exist on their own separate network but across the nodes.
I've installed and configured SDN...
I have just set up a 2 node with qdevice cluster in my lab here and all seems to be wokring ok.
I'd like to add a third node to the cluster.
1. Should I turn off the qDevice BEFORE adding the new mode and as long as theres 3 nodes I don't need it to run any more?
2. Should I configure the...
Using the following iperf3 commands below on both the server and client helped me to narrow down the issue to a specific datacentre server itself as the other datacentre server test exhibited a more appropriate speed. I'm in touch with the DC now to see if they can shed any more light and will...
Sherminator,
Is the reason PBS remote-sync is slow because it's handling a lot of comparison data on the HDDs before any real data is actually sent? I ask as I have a relatively slow lab based PBS test I'm currently running.
