Recently we have been testing "PBX in a Flash" inside OpenVZ container and worked well. Installation was pretty easy thanks to precreated openvz template.
There is nice howto in wiki http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/PBX_in_a_Flash
Latest template can be downloaded from http://proxmox.pbxinaflash.com/
I think I can't provide enough information to identify source of problem. I have five servers in cluster and all of them are running proxmox 1.5 with 2.6.32 openvz kernel and are mainly used for openvz virtualization. I have only one KVM VM and it is aimed for testing and running remotely some...
Hi, I am not using drdb on my five servers. I read some information about it but I was not satisfied with way in which things works. But as many other hosters I am thinking about some kind of distributed storage with "zero" downtime migration VM between hw nodes and some form of disk mirroring...
These issues are mostly related to quality of full virtualization I guess. I have running 2.6.32 kernel on 5 servers used for OpenVZ hosting and they are running good enough. I haven't any running KVM virtual machine but recently I tested one and there was issue with disk performance. Much worst...
I have four servers running some version of 2.6.24 with AMD Athlon X2 64, Phenom II X3 and similar with no problem.
You could also test kernel 2.6.32 for comparison.

There is new simple howto on openvz wiki which describe installation of openvz kernel 2.6.27 on Debian.
http://wiki.openvz.org/Install_kernel_from_rpm_on_debian
I have installed it on test node and all virtual machines are running good so far.
Some messages appered in system log:

But if 2.6.18 is only supported why 2.6.24 is existed for proxmox ve? We can suppose that 2.6.24 and 2.6.27 is in similar development state "development, maintained".
Then question is how hard could be build 2.6.27 openvz kernel for proxmox ve. "Officially" for testing as option same as 2.6.24...
Original question was about http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/kernel/2.6.27/2.6.27-aivazovsky.1
But what about http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/kernel/2.6.27/2.6.27-chistyakov.1 kernel branch? Latest release is from 25 Dec 2009. It is possible to add this newer openvz kernel to proxmox ve...
Another problem is that pure-ftpd service fail to start with error
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=272527
According to this bugreport there is something like missing CONFIG_SECURITY_CAPABILTIES kernel feature or capability module.
Well, I don't know how openvz team do development of opevz. I am just trying to figured out what's going on about dbus-daemon error and be able to update to current version of Fedora.
So there is a mention about fixing something with dbus. As it is written in Download section and openvz is open...
