Just to add a different perspective to this, I think ejc is expecting that Proxmox would automagically just figure out there is a new size to the target disk. Of course, ejc needs to understand that a change to the size of the drive is a non-trivial change, so a rescan of some sort is needed...
I've now run into this as well. I saw the fact that there were cdrom, cdrom1, cdrom2 in /dev, so I tried mounting each until I found that cdrom2 was what I wanted. Is there a configuration setting in proxmox I need to set to Proxmox knows to use cdrom2 instead of cdrom?
