Sorry, on thing more?
Is it possible to know the version of pve-qemu-kvm with which is running a VM?
This way I can verify that all VMs are running with the last one.
Great! I'll do it this way for avoid VM service interruption.
Only one thing more, how can I mark this issue as solved?
Thank you very much for your great product and support service.
If I upgrade all the Proxmox cluster nodes and live migrate VMs between nodes, is it still necessary to reboot the VM for make sure that it is running with the new pve-qemu-kvm version?
That is, if I have a VM in cluster node1 running pve-qemu-kvm 5.1.0-7, I upgrade cluster node2 to...
I have refreshed the upgrade package list and it appears now. Great! :D
After the upgrade, I must stop and start virtual machines in order to force them the use of the new pve-qemu-kvm version, is it right?
I have refreshed the pending update packages list of my Proxmox nodes and in the list doesn't appear the pve-qemu-kvm version 5.1.0-8 package you have just mentioned in your post.
Here is the output of the pveversion -v command:
proxmox-ve: 6.3-1 (running kernel: 5.4.78-2-pve)
pve-manager...
Hi,
I have a Proxmox/Ceph cluster and a PBS virtual machine in other Proxmox system for backup all the Proxmox/Ceph cluster virtual machines.
Proxmox and PBS have been updated this past weekend to the latest versions.
I have programmed snapshot backups every night for all the Proxmox nodes...
It seems that in my case the problems where due the PBS version.
My version was 1.0.1 and the last release is 1.0.6.
After upgrade to the last PBS release I can remove the bad 1Byte virtual machines backups and it seems that I can make backups without more problems.
Ok, then by the moment, the correct procedure will be:
Mount the USB disk (for example, in /mnt/USB_DISK).
Create a new datastore manually modifying the file: /etc/proxmox-backup/datastore.cfg
datastore: USB_DISK
path /mnt/USB_DISK/PBS
Access the datastore in the USB disk using PBS web...
Then the procedure for make the datastore in the USB disk available to PBS will be:
1. Mount the USB disk (for example, in /mnt/USB_DISK).
2. Create a new datastore using the next command: proxmox-backup-manager datastore create USB-DS /mnt/USB_DISK/PBS-VM
3. Access the datastore in the USB disk...
Hi,
We have the same problem.
It seems that the "solution" is disable the QEMU Guest Agent option, as I suggested here:
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/error-vm-100-qmp-command-guest-fsfreeze-thaw-failed-got-timeout.68082/
As you can see in these screenshots, the last fault backups have a size of 1B, and in the PBS are running endless.
I can't remove these 1B backups and I can't stop the endless running in the PBS. Even if I restart the PBS the backup tasks are still there.
Hi,
I'm having problems like these with a just updated 3 nodes Proxmox/Ceph cluster and the last version of Proxmox Backup Server.
It seems that with virtual machines that have the QEMU Guest Agent option enabled, when I make an snapshot backup over a PBS storage, I get the next errors and the...
Hello,
I have a PBS datastore located in the directory `/BACKUP/PBS` of my Proxmox PBS server.
If I rsync this directory in USB disks, is it possible to connect this rsync copy of the datastore to my PBS if I need it in the future?
If the answer is yes, how can I do it?
Thank you very much for...
I have been testing the backup of the virtual machines with problems and now it is going fine.
Maybe the solution has come because I have had to stop and start them again?
I'm having the same problem ...
I have just updated to the latests Proxmox release and some of my virtual machines give this error when I try to backup them using PBS:
PBS backups are not supported by the running QEMU version. Please make sure you've installed the latest version and the VM has...
