Hi dietmar and tom,
I realise that Proxmox do not want the responsibility of running an IRC channel and fully accept that is would be entirely unofficial and community support in that channel.
Is there perhaps a way we can retitle this as "Community IRC Support" or "Unofficial IRC Channel" or...
Hey dietmar,
Any news on this kernel? it's been over a month now - no pressure hehe!
I'd just love to give Zimbra a try properly without worrying about all of this on an OpenVZ machine
*bump*
Nothing in 4 weeks...
Any ideas to any of that?
To point 3 I realise the snapshot is taken using LVM... but does that snapshot the memory... will such an option be put in to proxmox to manage the snapshots?
*Bump*
Anyone got an answer for the fact that when you select veth mode, venet0 still shows up inside the guest machine when using ifconfig -a ???
Also, it would be handy if when you select veth mode it at least writes an entry for eth0 in the /etc/network/interfaces file - can I file a...
Hi it would appear this is working now, at 5 minute intervals it starts them up...
Is there a way to make it do this immediately? i.e. something watches the openvz template until it has shut down and then immediately starts it back up?

Hi,
Well I still don't agree that a --minimal mode should install anything more than... well... the minimum.
You do _not_ need an MTA in all...
Hi,
I think it would be cool if the wiki could contain an informal list of people who have deployed Proxmox VE (and if they're using the OpenVZ/KVM kernel or the KVM only kernel) who are selling virtual machines and what country they are in.
Then obviously link off to their sites for more...
Since there is now a KVM only kernel... and an OpenVZ/KVM kernel....
Perhaps the Proxmox team would like to take the efforts found here to make a OpenVZ only kernel?
It would be cool for the installation disc to offer 4 choices...

Would still like to know from the Proxmox team if the available patches for Mac OS X support for KVM will be integrated.
There is obviously no licensing issues running a virtual Mac OS X on Mac hardware.
Hi,
Well I still don't agree that a --minimal mode should install anything more than... well... the minimum.
You do _not_ need an MTA in all circumstances.
Do you have any material on how I can construct a real minimal template?

A mac friend just told me that Linkinus is a good IRC client for the mac.
Update...
Had about 6 people join in the last 12 hours... if you want to strike up a conversation however you really must remember to say hello to someone by name... often people keep their IRC clients minimized and...
IRC ##proxmox on Freenode
Hi,
I am currently in #proxmox on the Freenode IRC network
There is me and another guy already (EDIT: 48 hours later... 12 more have joined), - so it's already more of a success than I thought
I'll be idling here regularly now, time for us to have an IRC channel and...
Hey,
Me and another guy are in #proxmox on Freenode right now... I intend to keep being in this channel even if it's just idling to get it started. Just say my name in channel if you want to get my attention.
EDIT: More information here.. http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/4346-Irc

OK,
Pretty simple they come with Postfix, you can choose Exim instead. No option to have no MTA however... how come!
If I was installing the real Debian and select no tasks when tasksel is presented upon installation (not even "Standard system") then I would get no MTA. To my mind choosing...
