Given my modest hardware, what is the best HA configuration?

Even if I decide to buy a 10Gb switch I don't think any of my nodes has enough power to take advantage out of it I saw that I can create a ZFS pool with just one disk on the sparse disk I have on my powerful NUC, that's a first step. I will try to re-install the EliteDesk with ZFS on the root...

Given my modest hardware, what is the best HA configuration?

Thanks for your answer. I can consider upgrading the disk of the EliteDesk to 1TB and put the 512GB one on the smallest nuc. However seems that ZFS can't work on si gle disk configurations? So I need a minimum of 2 disks on each node? I already tried running vms over nfs, and it was not a...

Can't backup to cifs mounted at cluster level

Hello. I just added a CIFS mount to my little proxmox cluster. I was using it for backups when I only had one node and it worked. But now that I have mounted it at a cluster level I am not able to backup to it. I get a permission error. However I am able to see the contents on the web...

Given my modest hardware, what is the best HA configuration?

Hello. About a year ago I started using proxmox on a small and cheap intel nuc with 8 GB of ram. I was so pleased that I bought a more powerful and more capable nuc node to start a cluster. I quickly realised that there is little difference between 1 and 2 nodes: the limitations were roughly the...

Adding 6.2 nodes to 6.0 cluster - Error 500 Can't connect to x.x.x.x:8006 (hostname verification failed)

I don't have all hosts on /etc/hosts of all hosts. I just added them to the node I want to join. The cluster is on 6.2-12 while the new node is on 6.2-4 Previously I tried the new node on 6.3-1 but that didn't worked, so I just downgraded to the latest 6.2 is I found. Indeed the ssh may be the...

I tried that and it didn't worked for me. Is there something else I can do?

    local-lvm steadily filling up

Ok, that makes sense. I just made some basic maths and I saw that the sum of images + snapshots that I have is about 80GB while the size of the disk is around 70GB, so if any of the virtual disks gets fully rewritten it will fill up the entire lvm.

    local-lvm steadily filling up

Yes, I have two snapshots. What does that mean? That every block piece of modified data will be reallocated? Does it happen only the first time or for every modification? Imagine that I have a picture that it's on the snapshot, the first time I replace the picture it will be "reallocated", I can...

    local-lvm steadily filling up

Right now I only have one lxc running, which uses ubuntu for a pihole + etcd (one node) services and a virtual machine with home-assistant. This is the reported content of the local-lvm, which doesn't seem to grow at all: I think they are all "pre-allocated"

    local-lvm steadily filling up

Hello. I have a proxmox installation with a few VMs and just two containers. The thing is that, for some reason that I can not understand, the local-lvm disk is being filled at an steady pace. It got 100% full, so I moved out some VM disks and removed some templates, which gave me back to 85%...
