Rebooted my workstation and the shell works perfectly now.

I just started seeing this behavior. PVE 8.2.7 Firefox 130.0.1 Choosing 'spice' from the drop-dowm menu works, but not novnc or xterm. Brave-browser 1.70.119 works. All terminal options work as they should.

What happens if you change the CPU to 'Host' ?

I've been seeing this in my logwatch reports since upgrading from PVE 7 to 8. Looks like a known issue at Debian. Several bug reports there - bugs 1018106, 1018260 and 1030119. I wasn't seeing these errors prior to the upgrade. Here's a link to one of them...

I solved the issue. I had 3 entries that had newline after ssh-rsa in /etc/pve/priv/known_hosts. I guess that's why I saw the same error 3 times in a row. I commented them out and voila, it works without error. Then I permanently deleted those 3 entries and it seems to be solved.

I just created a cluster and added a node. I did have difficulties because the switch didn't not properly support multicasting. I replaced the switch and the node was added successfully. Now when I ssh from the new node to the original node, I get the following error: ssh pm1buffer_get_ret...
