Both VPN guides/links posted above saying about dummy interface under /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/ but in my latest 3.* proxmox none of the nodes has any dummy interface on it.
Even if I run the suggested command "echo "options dummy numdummies=2" > /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf" and then reboot the...
Hi Udo,
yes, there is no cache. It's not possible to move it to SSD at the moment.
The site was working fine on a single i7 with 8GB of RAM and 2x160GB SATA drives so can't understand how it can be a disk related issue. I've got no other VMs on this server.
The output of mount can be found...

Hi,
I've migrated a large web site from a dedicated server to an OpenVZ vm and having issues with very slow response. I've increased the cpu units to 500000, all 8 cores and 32GB of RAM but still very small improvement.
Is it anything else that I can configure to give the max resources to this...
Just to add that instructions from wiki working fine for CentOS 5*, it is just the CentOS 6 that doesn't work.
Anyone with a suggestion how to troubleshoot this?
Thanks
Hi mir,
When I run the start tty I'm getting the following:
root@client371 [/]# start tty
start: Unknown job: tty
shutdown and start the container via console didn't solve this. When I click the shutdown, it shows part of the process to shutdown the server but then when it boots shows nothing.
fkh, I can't find on Internet how to create a failover setup with Tinc. Do you aware any link/docs?
I'm planning to have a cheap dedicated server with just the Tinc installed and configured and another one to act as a failover in case the drive fails etc on the 1st one.
Also one more question...
Hi all,
I've installed a CentOS 6 and console doesn't work. It just shows this black thing with a cursor and nothing else.
I did everything explained in wiki (http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/OpenVZ_Console) for CentOS but still the same problem.
From the same wiki pages on a Debian installation...
The example in the blog posted above it didn't work for me as I didn't have enough free space to execute the dd command.
I end up removing completely the virtual machine and then restore it from a backup.
After that worked great.
Is this a bug of proxmox?
Hi all,
I'm a little bit confused with the cluster setup and I would like to ask if the following scenario is possible.
I've got 3 proxmox servers all runnning on different data centers. I just need to manage them from one address as cluster does.
Is it possible or all of them need to be on...
Hi all,
I'm trying to cleanup a little bit of disk space on a node.
During my search I found:
root@proxmox1:/var/lib/vz/images/102# ls -lah
total 91G

drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 4.0K Nov 14 09:39 ..

Hi all,
I've got a few KVM VPS which I want to migrate them under OpenVZ. All of them are on the same node host if that matters.
Would please anyone share if that is possible and if yes briefly how I can perform this?
Thanks
But the value of fs.nr_open is higher than what the program reports, see below:
root@logserver1:~# sysctl -a | grep open
fs.nr_open = 1048576
Is there anywhere a config at node level to set this value in each VM?
Thanks
Hi all,
I'm installing a log software in one of my KVM VM with plenty of RAM and disk space but getting the following error:
There are ElasticSearch nodes in the cluster that have a too low open file limit. (below 64000) This will be causing problems that can be hard to diagnose. Read how to...
