    Increasing prices for community edition?

Of course you can use the no-subscription-repo and that's great and OK. The thing is how are the prices increasing and what to expect and why are the prices increasing this way. May be there are some good reasons for that we just don't know or the proxmoxteam just increases it and nobody...

2 node cluster won't stay clustered

What Microsoft does with the HyperV-stuff isn't a bad thing and with the replicamechisms and so on they're doing many things right. Reminds me, that I wanted to play around with storage spaces direct, last time I did that was in TP3 or so, there wasn't everything running smooth. Eventually the...

I thought about that, too, and a little bit backgroundinformation from the staff is appreciated.

2 node cluster won't stay clustered

Just clustering two nodes shouldn't be a problem AFAIK, HA isn't good in that case. I just made a two node cluster also to have the management a little bit centralised. One node won't stay online either, I read somewhere that setting the network interface in promiscousmode should help and since...

[SOLVED] Networking problem in 4.1-33 (solved in 4.2-10)

Thanks, I was just thinking to myself "hey, you found the bug in the bugtracker before, so you could solve the issue with the information out of that thread. When you know about that entry you could have really looked before posting instead of making others extra work". Because if possible I try...

[SOLVED] Networking problem in 4.1-33 (solved in 4.2-10)

Wouldn't it be better to implement a kind of warning when trying to use vlan 1 rather then not allowing it? It seems to me, that this setup is used definitely sometimes but normally by people who "know what they are doing".

[SOLVED] Networking problem in 4.1-33 (solved in 4.2-10)

I think this example in the wiki won't work, too, because of vlan 1, or am I thinking wrong?

[SOLVED] Networking problem in 4.1-33 (solved in 4.2-10)

I ran also in this problem and had to fix it quickly today and used the three edits, so all is running like before. As others stated without notice this broke the network completely so this is a no-go, please don't do this again ;-) My interfaces looks like this allow-ovs vmbr2 allow-vmbr2...

Question about Ceph Node and OSD distribution

There are so many things to learn at ceph, great! I will try this out when I got my Testcluster ready, thank you. Haven't heard of the primary-affinity yet, I have to try that, too.

Question about Ceph Node and OSD distribution

Hi Udo, thanks for your answer. The thing with the weight is clear to me. I think the point is replica over host or OSD, which wasn't clear to me. I just thought of OSDs in the first place and, as more extreme example I have 2 Servers with 2X4 TB and one Server with 16X0,5 TB (as long as my pg's...

Question about Ceph Node and OSD distribution

Hi, my first tests with ceph are really interesting and in runs great. What I haven't found out: Is ceph considering only the OSDs for distribution or also the nodes? Just a theoretical setup to show what I mean: 2 Servers with 3 3 TB HDDs for Ceph 1 Server with 6 1.5 TB HDDs for Ceph So when...

    Proxmox 4 beta 1 ZFS kmem_alloc crash

Hi! the last years only reading in the forum solved my Problems, but now I wanted to share my experience if someone else has similar problems: This time I am building a really small "Server", took an Intel NUC5PPYH with 8 gigs of Ram and an SSD which was already here. Installes Beta1 without...
