proxmox 8 add existing lvm disk to new installation of proxmox

The way I do this is:

Create a new VM without a disk.
When the VM is created, go to hardware.
Select Add disk and select the correct storage location and disk file.
Now you need to set the added disk as the boot disk in the VM settings.
Okay thanks i will go give that a try

Finally got it to work, i needed to create a mount point and mount it on the host then go to the datacenter then create a directory with it pointing to my mount folder. NOw i can see some data and it is not full. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

hi Olu, I know it's a bit old but could you please elaborate on “mount it on the host“? Do you mean in the debian that support proxmox (using the shell option)?
Hope you can still point me in the right direction. Thanks Philby
