Hi at all,

I get a lot of spoofed spam e-mails from my own domain.
So I want to activate SPF.
I check the options in the Mail Gateway and create an DNS entry as follows:

myDomain.at. IN TXT "v=spf1 mx a ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx a:mail.myDomain.at ~all"

Is the configuration right or do I misunderstand anything wrong because it do not work?

best regards
Patrik

Configure "Configuration/Spam Detector/Backscatter" on your Proxmox Mail Gateway.

Ok, thank you, but how does it work?
I do not really understand the explanation from the administrator/deployment guide??

best regards

you add all your servernames which are sending emails with your domain.

if you receive now emails with your own domain as sender but the IP of the sending server is not listed on your backscatter list, the message will get the defined spam score. (e.g. start with 2 or 3).

Wow! Great function!
Now the Mail Gateway runs perfect -> typical proxmox :)

thank you!
