I found the solution myself. Seems that I just was some kind of "blind" ;)
The URI is shown directly in the mail-header where the spam detection results are shown.
I found several mails on my system that get 2.5 points bei URIBL_DBL_SPAM. But if I check these mails manually none of the URIs inside the mails are listed at uribl.com. How can I show the URIs in the log if this rule triggers?
I completely understand this. Maybe my post was not so clear. I do not understand (technically) why an empty envelope brings advantages in the handling of bounces. In the GUI I can set the "sender address". If this address would be used for the mail header from AND the envelope, I don't think...
Whitelisting the IP does not work in this szenario. My customer (the receiving Mailserver) wants to have his own Spamfilter aktiv (this is not my idea). So if he whitelists the IP of PMG his spamfilter would not work at all.
If it is hardcoded, I will not intend to change this - too much effort...
My PMG is routing some domains to other mailservers. Sometimes the daily spamreport is dropped by the spamfilter of theses other servers. One customer tried to whitelist these report mails, but then we saw that the mails are sent without envelope from. The from-address I can set in the GUI is...
I already tested with Bayes turned off and the results are definitely better. Some years ago I made serveral tests on another mailsystem with the bayes filter. I found that teaching the filter works good if you have enough spam AND no spam (at least 100 mails each before running the as_learn)...
My system often shows a bayes value of -1.9 on mails that are obviously spams. Sometimes this negative value is the reason why some spam mails are no spam.
I do not have any function to teach the bayes filter. Should I disable bayes filter?
What do you recommend to get the bayes filter working...
I am very well used to handle the problems with blacklist entries. But there is one blacklist from symantec (broadcom) which is only used inside symantec security solutions: https://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com
This one has the very bad behavior that you do not get any information about the reason...
Ok, thank you for your explanation. I am a programmer myself but not in rust. And surely I don't like to setup the whole development system just to make a small bugfix :)
I will go the way with pmg-no-subscription and then switch back to enterprise when this fix has been pushed there.
Yes my PMG handles all outgoing mails. I now could get a working solution based on the links posted before.
This is what id did:
Got a second IP from my hosting provider routed to the server
Added the IP inside PMG GUI Configuration -> Interfaces: Add Bond (I did not add the IP over the...
Sorry, my post overlapped with the post from Stoika Ivanov.
I am using the enterprise repo, because both systems that I am running are in production use. If I switch to the no-subscription repo can I easily go back to enterprise as soon as you have pushed there?
My preference would be a hotfix...
I am running two systems one for myself and one for a customer. My own was last updated about 7 days ago. Here I could run the update, but now I have pmg-log-tracker 2.3.0-1. My customers system shows no available updates an also has 2.3.0-1.
How did you make your upgrade?
Thank you treloskilo and hata_ph. Maybe my question was not exactly enough. I would like to have something like
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/postfix-mail-rotate-outgoing.53584/#post-247543
just not randomizing but with defined routing for defined domains.
My system is a VM located at a...
