PVE on Dell IDSDM card

I just wanted to use the SD to chain load the NVME driver for EFI. My Proxmox boot device is on a NVME m.2/PCIe card. I have a Dell PowerEdge R530. How would one use the IDSDM card in this case? Am I better off just using a tiny USB stick? I already bought the IDSDM card so I'm looking for a...
