ok just a small update on the issue. I have just finished updating the firmware on the i226-v card from version 2.23 to version 2.25 in the hopes that it will fix the issues of very slow performance. The update went successful and all 4 ports reports the firmware version is now 2.25 but...

Latest Porxmox 9.xx with i226-v extremely low performance

Hi leannaki, glad that I see you find a solution to your issue. However disabling IOMMU in Proxmox/Virtual environment is not the best idea since disabling IOMMU it will introduce a number of limitations including the ability to pass-though pci devices to VMs in the future.

Latest Porxmox 9.xx with i226-v extremely low performance

Hi leonnaki, I have replaced the i226-v card with an old 82576NS Gigabit Network card that I had home. This card has only two network ports (1Gbit each) but since my ISP is only 1GB and I really only need two network ports at the moment it suffices for now. After replacing the i226-v and even...

Linux VMs in Proxmox 8.xx gets corrupted but proxmox host no issue

For anyone that will come here having the same issue I am reporting that I was able to fix the issue by replacing the crucial ssd with a Samsung 870 evo 1TB ssd. I know this hard disk is way better than the original ssd that I had (and I would probably would have gone away with a simpler less...

I have install more than 5-6 proxmox installs over the years like this and it was okish until now. and now maybe the issue is elsewhere but I will keep what you say in mind. If I install proxmox directly from the proxmox iso do I have the same packages available (to install later) that I get...

Linux VMs in Proxmox 8.xx gets corrupted but proxmox host no issue

@leesteken I have not run memory test yet but please note that every time I try to write something big to disk this happens. It seems that the issue is consistent to disk write and only after a write have been initiate for a few seconds the issue starts to occurred. Otherwise the VMs run for...

Linux VMs in Proxmox 8.xx gets corrupted but proxmox host no issue

Hi @leesteken, no errors on hosts at all. Host is only being slowed down and then recovers after a while. Only the VMs are affected. Some need only reboot, some need to be restored from backup since they are getting so corrupted that can not even boot afterwards. But this only happens when I try...
