Hi,
When I was working with proxmox 2.3 I used to use a simple apache redirection to access the hypervisor.
Firstly, I had the following redirection on my apache proxy:
<VirtualHost *:443>
ProxyPreserveHost Off
ProxyPass / https://10.0.0.200:8006/
ProxyPassReverse /...
Hi guys,
I needed some time to plan a maintenance window and so on.
@tom - Thanks for letting me know, that worked like a charm!
@amputhu - ta very much for the script. It gave me ideas where the hostname variable may hide elsewhere than in /etc/hostname :-)

Re: [SOLVED] Proxmox node name change
Hello,
Actually, that hostname change caused me a lot of troubles. Indeed, when you change these files your hostname would change but:
1) It creates a separate datacentre (called with the new name)
2) All of your virtual machines are in the "old"...
Hello everyone!
As mentioned in the topic - I have only 1 proxmox node (which is not in a cluster or so) and would like to change its name.
Is there any way I could do that without rebooting the hypervisor?
If yes, how?
P.
I've just upgraded the hypervisor by
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
This is the output of pveversion -v:
pve-manager: 2.1-13 (pve-manager/2.1/bdd3663d)
running kernel: 2.6.32-11-pve
proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 2.0-66
pve-kernel-2.6.32-11-pve: 2.6.32-66
lvm2: 2.02.95-1pve2
clvm: 2.02.95-1pve2...
Hello!
That is going to be a quick one. I once used VM ID '110' and then later on it had been deleted. Now I have created again a VM and ID assigned to it is '110' again.
All is good if I did not see charts generated by my old virtual machine in the past :)
Is there any way to work around this...
Ok, I've uploaded a mini-mini file to the hypervisor and it turns that there has to be a specific path created before things are visible:
Here's where it has to be:
root@hype:/vm/iso/template/iso#
Hello!
I've got an issue concerning Storage iso files which are not visible.
On my systen I keep my isos in /vm/iso:
root@hype:/# ls -la /vm/iso/
total 3169216
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Aug 8 18:14 .
drwxr-xr-x. 7 root root 4096 Aug 8 17:56 ..
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root...
Marvellous. Thank you a lot for your help and understanding!
The volid is the first argument of pvesm indeed. I apologize for not being "enlighten" enough, although this has not been explained neither in "man qm", nor on the internet.
Nevertheless I can go ahead with my system's migration now...
Hi all there,
I'm new here, was thinking about migrating from Linux KVM (Ubuntu) to Proxmox 2.1.
According to what's on wiki:"Just create an new VM on Proxmox VE and add the existing disk image to this new VM, set the boot order and start."
it should be easy, nonetheless it's not an option, or...
