do you need to define the VLAN tag for VMBR1 network interface in PFSense VM too or just the pfsense web GUI. As VLAN interface is bridged with the lan interface and defined a tag and all the policy is accepted so traffic will work

fixed it. now trying to understand what you did before and what I did wrong haha

fixed now. had to mount the hdd and fix the changes back

Hi, I did something and need to reset my networking config in the hard disk in order to boot into proxmox again. I can only boot into rescue mode but not sure how to fix it there. any advice would be grateful Thanks Nicholas

Bridge? do you mean to create a linux bridge and attached it to the ethernet port and if you put the gateway to pfsense LAN. will this work without needed to use VLAN in pfsense
