I solved the problem. My custom profile had "frl_enabled = 60" instead of 1 or 0. I set to 1 and now it works. I also had an incorrect amount of memory (not a clean 2GB) assigned and that was needed as well.
CraftComputing is great, but his text walkthrough had a number of issues, like this =-/
It's possible with consumer NVIDIA cards with the Maxwell, Pascal, Volta, Turing architecture but not yet Kepler Ampere. See: https://github.com/DualCoder/vgpu_unlock & https://github.com/mbilker/vgpu_unlock-rs
I've done GPU passthrough before on this system no problem (1 entire GPU shared...
I am currently getting this error when I attempt to start my windows 10 VM. Context: I am trying to pass through a vGPU profile of my 2080 Ti.
kvm: -device vfio-pci,sysfsdev=/sys/bus/mdev/devices/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000106,id=hostpci0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x10,rombar=0: vfio...
That sounds like a good option. I could always then backup the one drive then start over with just one drive.
Where can I find the option to do that? I can't seem to find it via Proxmox GUI. Maybe it's a command for CLI?
I currently have 2x 450GB SSD mirrored for my boot disk, but I could use extra space and the mirrored redundancy isn't necessary.
Is there a way to safely unmirror them and free up one?
Thanks for the feedback, Aaron. One more question. I am not sure if I can do what I want to do below.
My plan right now is to use Hyper M.2 x16 Card V2, which can support 4x NMVE2.
I am thinking of running the 2x 480gb NVME in a mirror raid and store my VMs here. Then I want to use the 1TB...
My adaptors are 1:1 right now. They only hold 1 NMVE each, but to save PCIE 3.0 slots I am thinking of getting a card that holds more. Are you saying with the adaptor that can hold 2+ NVME it needs to have it's own controller or my mother board must support bifurcation?
My motherboard is Asrock...
A follow-on question. I'll have FreeNAS virtualized and I'll passthrough an HBA PCIE card (LSI (SAS9207-8i) so all those HDD will be for FreeNAS, but I will also have some regular SSDs connected to the mother board via normal SATA.
Could those normal SSDs service multiple VMs? Also curious if I...
Hello, I am new to proxmox and VMs.
I have 2x 480gb NVme2 (Corsair Force MP510) and 1x 1TB NVME (970 evo plus) and 3x NMVE2 to PCIe 3.0 Adaptors. There is no NVMe2 connection on my motherboard
For VMs that I want to run concurrently, can I run multiple VMs per NVME? If so, that is accomplished...
