End of life Debian 5.0 Lenny

Panic is a big word. I was just wondering whether you guys would be taking this date into account with an eye on 2.0.

End of life Debian 5.0 Lenny

The kernel is one, but what about for example Apache, Postfix, and all other services that you guys aren't maintaining?

End of life Debian 5.0 Lenny

Hey guys, I was just wondering whether you guys will still supply security updates for Proxmox VE 1.x hosts, when the support by Debian is terminated -- which will be in Feb 2012. Or will 2.0 be stable by then, including a smooth transition model...

    New 2.6.32 Kernel (pvetest)

That's what I'm doing now, which is fine. But it would be good to have two network interfaces :]. Yes, the board doesn't support ECC. But for this specific system, I do not really care ECC is not supported, as no critical applications are running on it.

    New 2.6.32 Kernel (pvetest)

It is integrated on a desktop board (Gigabyte GA-H61M-USB3-B3), this implies it will not be included? http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3905

    New 2.6.32 Kernel (pvetest)

    Different storage division during setup

But this is the same setup as the bare installer would make, right? Now I'm still not able to write backups to local disks, am I? So in short, you say that storing VMs as raw images on the /var/lib/vz directory is essentially the same as using separate LVM volumes to store VMs on? I know this...

    Different storage division during setup

Thanks for the quick response. Okay, so snapshotting is dealt with using LVM snapshots over the /var/lib/vz partition/directory? I think I'm starting to reinstall the server as you mentioned, just using Debian's netinstall. You mention Lenny because that's the main distribution for 1.9? What's...

    Different storage division during setup

Hello people, First of all, I'm a happy man I discovered Proxmox VE, wonderful product! I was wondering the following. I just installed Proxmox VE 1.9 on a machine with a hardware RAID-1 array, containing two 1TB disks. Nothing more, nothing less. When installation was done, I saw that...
